After Allen had finally calmed down he excused himself for the night, leaving Naomi to eat something and drink her coffee. Kanda sat down by her, silently eating his soba noodles.

"What was with the beansprout?" Kanda asked.

Naomi gazed at Allen's untouched pie with a sad look in her eye. "Suman Dark. He Fell."

Kanda averted his gaze to his soba. "Oh."

The two talked for a little bit about meaningless things until Kanda finished his food. He left off to his room. Naomi finished soon after, making her way back to her own room.

Now I can concentrate on my dreams.

Naomi took her pencil, getting ready for another night without sleep. The next day Allen knocked on Naomi's door, much to her surprise.

"It's open," she said, her voice cracking from the hours it had been since she last spoke. The door opened with a creaking noise, revealing to Allen Naomi who was still draped in a blanket, exhaustion practically dripping off of her. Her determined stare remained on the book she had in hand. Most of her attention was devoted to it as well.

"Oh. This is why Kanda's always yelling at you then?" Allen asked, his voice dull and monotonous. He was likely still mourning over Suman Dark.

Naomi chuckled, looking at the uncharacteristically depressing Allen Walker. "You can hear him?"

"I'm pretty sure everyone on this floor can," Allen remarked, lightening up once he noticed Naomi's short laughter.

Naomi shut her book, tossing it onto her bed. "So is there a reason you came here to see me?"

Allen's expression went back to the depressed one. "I was going to ask you if you wanted to join me for breakfast, but if you're busy.."

Naomi hastily got to her feet, waving her arms frantically. "No no! I need to eat something anyways." Allen smiled, though the expression failed to reflect in his eyes. Naomi frowned, but said nothing more, walking out of the room with the younger teen, still with a blanket over her shoulders. They entered the cafeteria, getting food, and sitting down at their designated table with some small talk in between.

Allen had gotten a cup of black coffee with nothing added to it, which was highly unusual for him. He took a drink, making a face at the bitter taste. The older exorcist, Naomi, had gotten coffee as well, the difference being the insane amount of cream and sugar added.

As they silently took sips of their coffee, Allen took the time to notice Naomi gazing off into nowhere, and her haggard appearance. Naomi's face was as pale as Allen's hair, dark circles from countless nights without sleep surrounding her eyes.

It occurred to Allen that something was probably bothering the other exorcist as well. "Hey Naomi," Allen said, taking Naomi out of her absent thoughts. "Is something bothering you?" he asked.

Naomi looked at Allen, suddenly giving him a smile he knew all too well. A smile he himself used. That smile that tried to obscure anyone else from knowing the kind of pain he was in.

"No I'm fine. I just need some sleep is all."

Allen was about to reply, ask her why she had lied to him, but before he could Lavi had shown up.

"Naomi!" Lavi exclaimed, sitting down. "Komui wants to talk to you. I think it's a mission, so you should probably get suited up."

Naomi stood up, forgetting her coffee she had scarcely drank. "Yeah? Probably shouldn't keep him waiting then." She walked out of the cafeteria, heading to get changed and look less like a hobo in front of her overprotective cousin.

Naomi took a brief shower, brushed her teeth, combed out her hair and got dressed. She had chosen to put on a plain black shirt under her exorcist coat as well as a pair of white pants. Finally, she took her staff into her hands.

"Wait a second," she thought aloud. "Where has Mayakashi been..?" As if on cue the grey and purple golem fluttered in from the slightly ajar window. It took it's resting spot on her shoulder, nuzzling into Naomi's neck. Naomi couldn't help but smile lightly.

She walked out of her room, looking a little more cared for than she had in days. Naomi made her way to Komui's office, greeting people she knew along the way. Of those people she passed, Kanda was one of them. The older exorcist was on his way to breakfast. It was safe to assume that he was going to eat soba.

Kanda raised a brow at the sight of her. "Mission?"

She nodded. "Yeah. Lavi said Komui wants to see me." He nodded in acknowledgement and the two went their separate ways. Naomi soon arrived in her cousin's office. "Did you need to see me Ko-"

She was cut off from a sudden tackle by a blur of white and purple. "My sweet cousin Naomi! Where have you been! I thought you disappeared!"

"I uh," Naomi changed the subject. "Didn't you have a mission for me?"

"Oh." Komui said, his tone changing. "Yes. I'm afraid so."
