-Third Person View-
Even now he could feel it. Even when she had already long since been asleep earlier into the night. Even after she had stopped fidgeting around violently and he had no luck in awakening her. The fear that Kanda felt. Fear for her. Naomi.
That moment back outside, when she lost her grip on reality, maybe the sleep would help her return to her normal state. That's what Kanda hoped for. He sighed. They had stopped here so that he could sleep, but instead he was up staring at the ceiling his mind active with Naomi.
Kanda turned to the sleeping teen only a mere two years younger than him. Her face was peaceful somehow, despite how she was only hours ago. Her chest rose and fell as soft breaths escaped her. Kanda's face gradually shifted to one of sadness.
He knew that he should tell Komui about this, but what would they do to Naomi, who's sanity was slowly wearing down? Kanda made his own decision. He wouldn't tell Komui or anyone, not unless Naomi did, or if she wanted him to. He would make sure himself that Naomi wouldn't be driven to madness. With this plan set in his determination, Kanda finally allowed himself to dose off in the later hours of the night.

"How's her condition?" the Earl asked.
Toraido, the Noah of Judge was sitting down in the corner of the room, in a meditating-esque position, his eyes closed. "I'm nearly done breaking her..I guess that potion of controlling dreams was more effective than I could imagine."
"You won't break Naomi. She's tougher than that, I know she is, she wouldn't fall down," the Noah of Deception spat. He was shackled by the hands, the chains connected to the ground. His appearance was pitiful, his dress clothes torn beyond repair and several cuts and bruises along his upper body.
"She will when it comes to the people she cares about most," Toriado mentioned monotonously. "And when she does break, her Noah gene may activate, according to the prophecy, and when it does, we kill you."
"Why me?" he snarled. "There's already a missing Noah, the-"
Matthew was cut off briefly from the Earl's voice. "You've become useless. Not that you were really like the other Noah, we couldn't even have the same connection as you."
"What about Tyki? Sheril? My brothers, and Lulu, I dated her at one point," Matthew replied in desperation.
"Lulu is fine with it..as for Sheril and Tyki? They know their place in the Noah family."
"Which is basically fancy-motherfucker-shit talk for they don't know," Matthew growled.
"Master Earl shut him up I can't concentrate," the Noah of Judge said, no expression on his face.

Naomi was the first to wake up the next morning, sunlight flooding in through the window, waking up the mentally troubled exorcist. Despite that, she woke up rather peacefully. Naomi turned to her side, observing her sleeping companion, his silky hair spread along the pillow unevenly as he continued to sleep.
A knock was heard at the door, a light knock that didn't wake Kanda up. Naomi carefully got up, making sure not to wake up the samurai. She walked over to the door, opening it to reveal the same desk lady from earlier.
"Here. I thought you exorcists might want something to eat before you head back out," she offered, handing Naomi two brown bags and two disposable cups. "One cup has coffee, the other has tea. Both of the bags have two chocolate cookies and one pouch with six grapes inside."
"Thank you very much," Naomi accepted, closing the door. She turned around, finding Kanda only barely getting up, rubbing his eyes tiredly.
"What do you have?" he grunted.
"Food," she replied, tossing him one of the bags and handing him the cup of tea which Kanda would likely prefer over coffee. "A worker here brought it." She sat down at her end of the bed, opening the bag and taking out a cookie.
"I don't like these kind of sweet things," he scowled, pulling out his cookies.
In response she tossed Kanda her grapes and took the cookies that were in between his fingers. "There. Picky eater." Kanda looked at her as she ate her cookies and drank her coffee. To him, it seemed adorable, the little bites she took from her food. Naomi turned to look at him. "What?"
Kanda looked away in embarrassment, hiding his face in his cup of tea. "Nothing.." His face heated up, he could only hope that he didn't look like a human cherry. "You look pretty," he mumbled, almost incoherently.
"Wait, what?" Naomi looked at Kanda more intently.
"I s-said, you look shitty," he stuttered, covering up the kind words he had said. Kanda popped a grape in his mouth. "Yeah, that's what I said."
Naomi tilted her head in confusion. "Okay then.." She resumed to eating her breakfast as Kanda briskly finished his, setting down the empty bag and cup on the bed. He opened his suitcase, taking out his uniform.
Naomi noticed. "Can you not change in front of me Ba-Kanda?!" she seethed.
He death glared. "I don't have any problems with it, you're the one in my room. Just stop being annoying."
Naomi resisted the urge to sigh, facing her back to the uncaring exorcist as he changed, eating her cookies nonchalantly. Once she had finished her food, she left to her room, informing Kanda that she would change and then meet him outside the inn.
She hastily changed to her uniform, strapping her backpack back to her and taking her staff in hand. She checked to make sure the room key was in her pocket before leaving the room, heading back to the lobby. Naomi left the keys on the desk, noticing Kanda waiting just outside. She stepped outside the inn, now able to hear Kanda arguing with her golem.
"Get off of me! Stop cuddling me I'm not your owner get off!" Said exorcist turned to her in annoyance. He che'd. "Get your golem off of me before I slice him to pieces."
"I'm surprised you haven't already," she sweatdropped, pulling Mayakahi off of Kanda. The golem then flew in circles around Naomi. "Alright, let's go."
