After an exhausting three weeks in which Dr Evens learned about my sleep ability he assigned a homework in the training room to move along my training more efficiently. At the end of the taxing three weeks I was able to see something rare and new. A smile from Evens.

My blindfold was over my face, my moves forcing Dr Evens backwards until he hit the wall, and I moved the wooden staff forward to his neck. I pulled up my blindfold in satisfaction. Days of frustration was worth it.

Evens cracked a small smile. "I'm impressed Kurosu. You're finally ready."

I smiled in delight. "Does this mean my staff finally returns to me?"

"Yes, yes it does," he nodded. "Head to Komui and tell him you are go for a mission."

"Thank you so much," I bowed slightly, heading off to shower and change and then see Komui.

I entered my room, taking a quick shower and putting on one of my short sleeved shirts and black pants. I put on socks and shoes, learning the hard way from Dr Evens why I had to wear them. I made my way to Komui's office, waving at my fellow peers along the way. Allen, Lavi and Lenalee.

Once there I greeted Komui with a very happy attitude.

"Oh Komui~" I sang, sitting at a chair beside his desk.

"Hm? Hello cousin," he said, mostly focused on his work.

"So I am go for a mission~" I hummed happily.

He looked up at me. "Serious?"I nodded and he jumped up happily. "Wonderful I have a mission that required two and now that you're here we can put you in." He handed me a long, thin silver case. "I had to put the staff in there as it seems I'm incapable of directly touching it."

I opened up the case, taking out my metal staff, the cool feel of the metal on my hands making me notice just how much I missed it. "So what's the mission, and who am I going with?" I questioned, my gaze still on the staff.

"You'll be going with Kanda, a short mission which will probably only last you one or two days, to investigate a strange phenomenon we think is centered around Innocence, but we're not completely sure, so I'd like to send a minimal amount of exorcists there, but enough so that if anything like akuma should pop up they're prepped." he explained hastily.

I nodded, trying not to show my discomfort about going with Kanda. We hadn't spoke since the incident in the training room the other night. "When will we departure?"

"A finder is scheduled to arrive at a train station in a few hours so you'll be leaving in about an hour," he confirmed.

"Good, I could use the exposure," I said, passing the empty silver case back to Komui.

"I'll have Kanda retrieve you when it's time to go," he stated as I made my leave.

"Okay," I waved as I left, heading to my room to pack some clothes.

On my way there I happened to bump into Allen.

"Oh hey Allen," I waved.

"Hey Naomi! Care to join me for lunch?" he asked

"Of course," I smiled, "Just let me pack, I have a mission in a bit."

"Sure thing," he gave his signature friendly smile, waiting for me.

I walked in my room, taking out my suitcase, folding up my cloak, two pairs of socks, and two short sleeved shirts and pants. I took a glance at my paper, the one that held my key to vision, which was lying on the dresser. I picked it up, unfolding it to find words printed on it.
