When we get to where he is, Dean is shutting the fridge with a six pack of beer in his hands "really?" Sam scoffs in his direction.

We all stare at him and he says "what? We hit Amara with everything we got, and she walked it off."

"So" Sam pushes "so it's last call?"

"That's right." Dean confirms "Look, if you've got something for me to punch, shoot, or kill, let me know and I'll do it. I'll do it till I die. But how are we supposed to fix the friggin' sun?" None of us answer, none of us having any clue on how to. So he finally says "So, I'm going to take this six pack and I'm going to have God out there snap me to my son and I am going to spend as much time as we have left with him." I drop my head, knowing that if these are our final moments, then I want to spend them with him as well.

"I'm coming with you" I say to him and he nods. The two of us leave the kitchen to go off and ask Chuck to take us to Paul "Hey, Chuck" I go over to him and say his name as softly as I can. He brings his tired eyes up to meet mine and I ask "do you think you'd be able to get Dean and I to our son?"

He sits up in the chair and coughs "I can get you there, but I can't get you back." He tells us.

Dean answers "that's fine. Hey Sammy, you coming?" He asks his brother.

Sam look at him dumbfounded "what? No. I'm staying here to figure this out."

Dean shrugs "suit yourself, call if you find anything. Alright, let's go."

Chuck snaps and Dean and I are outside the house where Charles and Paul have been staying. When we get to the door, Dean tries to open it but it's locked. We knock and Charles comes to the door. When he see's us both outside he moves aside and lets us in. Dean moves to go to Paul whose sitting on the floor playing and I whisper to Charles "I uhmm, hey." Is all I can think to say.

"What's going on?" He points to the sky.

I sigh and move in and shut the door "things didn't work out, the uhh, the sun is dying." I try and explain.

"The sun?" He questions.

Is this how I sounded at first, questioning everything Dean said to me? I wonder. I nod and move to go sit on the floor with Dean and Paul "yeah, Amara poisoned God and once the world dies, he will too." Charles just stands, probably not sure what to do with that information. He just stares blankly ahead as he comes to sit down on the couch. I put my hand on his knee and say to him "Charles, there's not much time left. Dean and I are here now, if you want to go back to New York, be with anyone special then you should leave now.

He starts to blink, coming out of whatever stooper he is in and he returns "everyone who matters to me is right here in this room, I'm not going anywhere."

I hear Dean snicker from behind me but I give Charles a thankful smile and squeeze his knee ever so gently before turning back around to play with Paul. About an hour later, Dean's cell rings. It's a short conversation but once he hangs up he says to us "Sam has a plan, we have to get back to the bunker."

"God said he can't get us back there." I remind him "what's his plan?"

Dean shrugs "he didn't say, what about that truck out front, we're only a few hours from the bunker."

"A few hours? That's it?" I ask and he looks at me as if wondering why I'd ask that. I roll my eyes and say "the truck is Charles, you'd have to ask him."

I smirk and before Dean could get out the words, Charles says "you can use it."

I curse Charles for being so nice to Dean but Dean pulls me out of my thoughts as he stands "let's go, I can get us there in no time." He offers his hand to help me up.

I look at it but shake my head "Dean, I'm staying here."

"What?" He asks implored "I thought you wanted to be a part of this, I thought you wanted to stop Amara?"

I reply "yeah, before I found out the world is ending. If Sam's plan ends up failing, I'd hate that I spent my last few hours without Paul. I can't do that."

Dean fights "but if this works, you'll have the rest of your life to spend with him."

"Well, then I hope you can get it to work." I stand up and meet his stare.

He eventually nods and says "alright, I'll keep you posted I guess." He moves in as if to kiss me but catches himself and instead leans his head up to kiss me on the forehead "I love you" He whispers as he walks off.

"Stay safe" I call back, fighting to urge to tell him I love him back.

When Dean leaves the house I place myself back on the floor and play with Paul some more. When it's dinner time, I sit down across from Charles and help feed Paul in between taking my own bites. Charles asks me "so, you must've not of gotten any of my messages, huh?"

I look at him confused and shake my head. I stand to go to my jacket where my phone is when I pull it out I see that it's all cracked "must've broke when she flung me across the room, sorry." I come back to my seat and Charles just looks at me like what I just said was ubsurd. "I'm guessing everything turned out okay, though?" I ask, taking another bite of chicken.

"Paul was super sick, like I thought he was going to die sick. I was on the way to the hospital ."

My head swivels to look at my son, who seems to be fine as he plays with some cheerios on the table "he seems fine now, what happened?" I put my hand on his forehead but he seems to be fine.

"Exactly, out of nowhere he kind of just got better. Like literally in minutes." He shakes his head, not really able to believe what he is saying.

My brain starts to work out some theory and I say to him "what time was that at? Like exactly."

He thinks for a moment then says "uhm, I got him in the car at like 11:43. He had a fever, and this really weird rash on his arm. I exhale and turn to look at Paul "I can't believe I didn't see it before." I look back to Charles "do you have a phone?" I ask him.

Charles replies "no, they told me it was would be too dangerous. I stopped at pay phones whenever I saw one.

"Shit, alright." I push my chair out from the table "we have to get to the bunker."

Charles stands but questions "what, why?"

I try and explain as I move to get Paul into a different pair of clothes "Amara and Dean are connected because of the Mark of Cain. They have some kind of emotional connection but she told me that she was also connected to Paul. I didn't want to believe it but it all makes sense now."

"What makes sense?" He questions.

I explain "when Paul was sick months ago, that was when Amara was growing. If she wasn't feeding enough, that could be why Paul was sick. And when we attacked Amara earlier, he was really sick, almost dying sick. Well, so was she."

"So Paul and Amara are connected, health wise?" Charles asks.

"I think so, or something like that. Something physically. That's why we need to get to the bunker, we need to tell Dean and the others." I say, slipping on a pair of shoes.

I pass Paul to Charles so I can slip on my jacket. I throw a few things into a bag that we'll need for him "Dean took the truck, how are we going to get there?"

I turn to him "I learned a few things being married to Dean, I can take care of that. Just get ready, I'll be back in 20!" I say, heading over to the door.
