A/N: This is Khalil by the way.

Days had passed and somehow that image was burned into the back of my eyelids.

The image of her, with a new man and a swollen body. It just seemed no matter what I did, she wouldn't vanish from my mind.

I had just taken a shower, I walked through my room and into my closet to get dressed. A few days ago, Hakeem had hit me up and told me he needed a wingman cause Porsha was dragging him to an event for work.

So here I was getting ready for said event. I really didn't want to go, but when I'd declined to be their third wheel, he'd went and pulled the I'm-ya-homie-so-you-have-to-come card.

It wasn't until then that I'd realized that I had no idea if I'd had to dress professionally or what have it.

Me: Business or casual?🕴🏽🚶🏽‍♂️

It took him about five minutes to answer.

Keem: Casuals ight🤷🏽‍♂️.

I shrugged, I'd thought she'd want us looking professional around her co-workers, but fuck it. Getting dressed I headed out of the house towards the address that Hakeem had sent me.

We'd pulled up to private property by a beach house. I'd been looking into getting myself one eventually but it was still undecided.

Parking my car, I hopped out going to the other side. I'd decided to bring someone along so I wouldn't be the third wheel, I helped her out. She was some chick who'd been flirting with me for a while now since I'd been working on this new project. We walked up to the entrance, opening the door.

"Aye, di-" Keem stopped mid-sentence when my plus one came in behind me. I introduced them. He quickly nodded, "You can go into the dining room, everyone's in there." She nodded in return, walking down the hallway.

We followed her, keeping our distance. "Look, I ain't got nothing to do with what's going to happen tonight," he informed me in a hushed tone.

I grimaced, "What?"

He didn't have time to answer, instead, we'd walked into the dining room. I didn't get what he was going on about; at least not until my eyes had trailed passed Porsha's figure.

For a minute when our eyes met, it seemed time froze up for a minute. Her eyes had gotten big when she saw me.

After all this time, she was still beautiful. I took the time memorizing her features. Her hair had gotten thicker, maybe a tad longer, her cheeks had filled in just a little more. Through her dress her breasts, if possible, had grown a cup and finally her hips, they'd gotten wider. I licked my lips.

The world returned to normal when she tore her gaze away to glare at Porsha, speaking to her in a hushed voice—no doubt wondering what was going on.

Just then, the tall guy I'd seen with her that fateful day, walked up to me ready to dap me up. "Wassup?-"

"Alright y'all, food's ready," Porsha informed us, an indication she wanted us seated at the table.

Bless up. I'd been able to avoid talking to the fool that possibly knocked my girl up. Quickly, I found myself taking a seat next to the female I'd arrived with.

As dinner progressed, the air was thick with awkwardness, hostility, and perhaps a little bit of negativity.

It seemed the only ones truly enjoying themselves and completely oblivious were Khalil, Ayona's temp nigga— who's name I learned when Porsha introduced everyone before we'd started eating, and the chick I'd brought along.

Ayona, I could tell was fuming as she continuously glared at Porsha and avoided my gaze. Hakeem just looked miserable, I could only imagine how annoyed I looked. I hated seeing him touch her, I didn't want her with no one else.

I didn't even care if the baby wasn't mine.

Turned out it been Porsha's house we'd been invited to, so it came to no surprise when Ayona excused herself to the ladies room, without needing directions.

Shortly after she'd left, I'd also excused myself, hoping to catch her and finally talk to her.

Porsha was the one to direct me towards the bathroom, astonishing since I would've thought she'd be against me, but then again she was the one who'd set this whole thing up.
