Ayona
As we enjoyed our meal, we talked about everything. I'd apologized about my sour mood and he'd brushed it off, saying he understood. It always amazed me how understanding he was, always making excuses for me and even though none of my mood swings had anything to do with him, I still felt bad.
Maybe I was selfish. The way I would always get into my head whenever I started feeling down, but I was trying to change it. Even though he was unbothered by it, I knew he would eventually get tired of making excuses for me.
Nonetheless, I was grateful for how the night had gone.
By the time we'd finished our dinner, I'd barely had a buzz from drinking damn near the bottle, whereas for Daystar, he was definitely passed a light buzz. Even still he was able to help me clear the table and wash dishes.
"I'm going to sleep, my munchies is satisfied now I'm tired as hell." I laughed, there'd only been a couple more dishes left so I waved him away. "Go head. I'll finish the rest before— wait, I forgot about Tamika."
I'd been so focused on enjoying the night, that I'd forgotten about my baby girl. Day, didn't seem worried at all. He shook his head, "No, we didn't. I sang her to sleep before you got here." I was a little disappointed, I always looked forward to singing her to sleep.
"I wanted to make sure we enjoyed the night," he said. "Stress-free for you." I nodded, "I guess I'll just Facetime them tomorrow during my break. But really, thank you for dinner. It was delicious, I see you been taking notes."
He chuckled, "I've been practicing and watching Youtube videos all day, well most of it anyway." he shrugged, "Good night, Yona." His voice had wandered off down the hallway, "Good night," I called back.
When I was done with wiping the counters and turning the lights off, I headed for my bedroom. Sleep, heavy on my mind, but then as I traveled from the kitchen into the hallway, there was a path of lit candles.
They led me to my room, my door had been nearly shut. Taking a deep breath, I walked in. Immediately, a smile broke on my face. There were candles on every possible safe surface, giving the room a seductive glow.
"Day, wh—"He crossed the space between us, putting his finger to my lips. "Stress-free, remember?" Smiling, I nodded. I wasn't used to this, not with him or any other I'd been with. I felt giddy with emotion, shy even.
Taking my hand, he guided me to the bed. "You cool with this?"
Of course, I'm—this nigga knows, I'm always ready for him. I nodded, keeping my thoughts to myself. He leaned in, his lips whispered against mine softly. It'd been way too long for me and I knew it had been, by the way that my body responded.
The combination of liquor and his previous smoke session, had me intoxicated; only adding to my burning need. The way he tasted, how his hands grasped and caressed me. I was lost to him. My blow-dryed hair had been in a bun, but he'd pulled my scrunchy out; letting my hair loose.
There was no way that he had me fiening for him like this. Still clothed and I was gushing in between my legs. I was afraid my legs were going to fail me soon. It all felt so natural, up until I felt the strings of my robe loosen.
Fear struck, making me part from him. Up until then, he looked equally lost as I was, but I couldn't. "What's wrong? Did I hurt you?" I shook my head, no. "Oh, so what's going on?" I knew he'd think I was leading him on.
"Not tonight."
