Another month had gone by and it was as if we were stuck repeating the same day, only Tamika kept growing—getting better.

I'd been there when she finally opened her big almond shaped eyes, blinking at me. There was no way, I'd ever let any one hurt her, she was my treasure.

My princess.

On the other hand, as days had gone by without Yona meeting her baby, she'd started to look lifeless.

Her eyes had gone empty, depressing wasn't even the right word.

Her family had left weeks ago, to get back to their jobs and I think that played a roll in her glum mood.

Her doctor had even suggested I find her a good therapist after she left the hospital.

I knew she wouldn't stand for it, but I wanted what was best for her and our baby girl.

Khalil and I had eventually come to an agreement for Yona and the baby's sake. I had no idea why he wanted to stick around so bad, but I had more pressing matters.

As for work, with every thing going on, I'd stuck to pushing events and writing songs whenever I got the time, at first.

But the doctor had recently informed me, Tamika would be ready to go home soon. Yona could too only if she would have someone with her round the clock.

Since Khalil had assured me, he would be here to help along with Porsha and maybe Keem, everything was going to be alright.

That was a really strong "maybe" when it came to Keem though, no lie. He was definitely my man's, but I was there when he'd forgot to feed his distant cousin's pet hamster.

Damn thing had died of hunger, in his care.

I'd wanted things to be as good as could be when Yona came home—my place, so I'd had Porsha, in charge of bringing Tamika home.

I was on Ayona duty, which was going to be a challenge. Least I thought it would be.

The nurses had just helped her clean up a bit, when I'd come walking in with a bag. The bag had a change of clothes in it for her.

I thanked them with a quick jerk of my chin, "Could you bring us a wheelchair, please?"

Yona looked up, looking annoyed as usual. I'd just hoped bringing her home with her baby would make her happy.

"Why you need a wheelchair for?" She asked. I set the bag by her feet, walking back to close the curtains again.

"We going home." I smiled when the corners of her lips twitched.

She frowned again. "What about Tamika?"

I scoffed, "Yona, you trust me?" She glared but nodded anyway. "Good now shut up and let's get you dressed."

Just then a knock on the door sounded. I walked over, it was a nurse, she'd had the discharge paperwork with her and a wheelchair.

I thanked her, closing the door behind me. We got the paperwork out of the way first before I tried to help her with her clothes.

"Turn around Day." My eyes widened, in question. "Ain't nothing I ain't seen before."

I turned around anyway, soon later we were on the way down to my car. "I'll pick your prescriptions up for you when I go out later on."

She shook her head, "I don't need them."

"But Yona—"

"I don't need them, I'll be fine."

When we got to mines, it'd been just a struggle, letting her know she was staying with me until she got better.

I helped her up the stairs to her bedroom—I'd figured she'd wanted her own space; we'd never talked about getting together.

I'd had her closet stalked with clothes and shoes, mostly comfortable stuff—sneakers and slides. Some of the things had come from her apartment and some I'd bought online for her.

She looked surprised, "You did all this for me?"

"Why wouldn't I?" I smiled. Even with the frown lines coming she was still gorgeous and I just hoped I could make it alright again.
