Rolling over I grumbled in my sleep, ignoring the obnoxious noise.

*Ring*
*Ring*

Ughhh.

Slamming my hand on the nightstand, I reached for my phone, answering it. "What?"

"...I ran into an issue..." I was so tired, it took me a moment to clear my mind and figure out who was talking to me.

When it finally occurred to me, my eyes shot open. Glaring at my phone, I squinted trying to check the time.

"What was so important you had to call me at three in the morning?"

"Ok. Look, I been on that chick you wanted me to find, but turn out something happened to her—" I groaned in frustration.

"What—Am I supposed to care? I said take care of her, that's it."

"I'm saying..,someone already did...." I sat up in bed, annoyed now.

"It's been almost three months since, I told you to get on it—so you telling me...You just been sitting on your ass this whole time?!!!!!"

He started stuttering, "N-n-n-no! I followed her to try to finish the job, but people stay arou-"

"I don't fucking care if Jesus himself in the room with her!! Take care of it or I'll take care of you and ya kids." I hung up.

Tears welled in my eyes. It'd been months since I'd last seen him. I'd called and texted multiple times, but he ignored me.

Why couldn't he just understand that I loved him. Wasn't no one else for him but me.

We was meant to be.

I knew love wasn't easy, but at this point he was being impossible. If paving my own way, was the path to his love, then so be it, cause at the end of the day, he was going to be mine, regardless of who got in the way.
