CHAPTER 22: MR. AND MRS. SANDOVAL

'Itigil ang kasal father!'ulit na pagpigil ni Carmela na siya palang sumigaw upang pigilan ang kasal-kasalan ng dalawa, kasama pa nito ang bestfriend ng binata nasi Jordan. Gulat at may pagtatakang tingin naman ang ibinigay sa kanya ng mag aaral pati na si Mang Jon . Nag peace sign naman si Carmela sa mga ito habang naglalakad papalapit sa altar.

"sorry guys were late." Aniya kay Prince at Sofia binalingan din niya si Mang Jon pagkatapos. "Sorry to interrupt you father." Paghinging paumanhin ni Carmela kay Mang Jon. Tumango naman ang pari. "Father? Pwede favor po? Pwede po bang ulitin from the start? Dahil sa hindi po ako naka pagrampa kanina hahaha. Tsaka tanggalin niyo napo ung posas ng dalawa , wala naman po siguro may balak na tumakas sa kanila haha." Natatawang sambit nito.

Pumayag naman si Father at pati na ang iba, inulit nga nila ang paglakad sa aisle patungo sa altar. Sa pangalawang pagkakataon ay naglakad si Sofia at si Prince na magkahiwalay. Na una na ang binata kasama ng kaibigan nito sinundan ni Jordan na syang best man sumunod naman ang mga bata at pati na ang abay. Si carmela naman ang maid of honor habang solong nalakad si Sofia patungo kay Prince.

"Welcome, family, friends and loved ones. We gather here today to celebrate the wedding of Sofia and Prince. You have come here to share in this formal commitment they make to one another, to offer your love and support to this union, and to allow Sofia and Prince to start their married life together surrounded by the people dearest and most important to them. So welcome to one and all, who have traveled from near and far. Sofia and Prince thank you for your presence here today, and now ask for your blessing, encouragement, and lifelong support, for their decision to be married." Mahabang panimula ni Mang Jon.

"Marriage is perhaps the greatest and most challenging adventure of human relationships. No ceremony can create your marriage; only you can do that – through love and patience; through dedication and perseverance; through talking and listening, helping and supporting and believing in each other; through tenderness and laughter; through learning to forgive, learning to appreciate your differences, and by learning to make the important things matter, and to let go of the rest." Pagpapaliwanag nito sa kahulugan ng kasal.

"Will you, Prince, take this woman to be your wedded wife?" tanong nito kay Prince. "I will" tugon ng binata. Binalingan naman ni Mang Jon ang dalaga. "Will you, Sofia, take this man to be your wedded husband?" tanong nit okay Sofia. "I will" tugon naman ng dalaga.

"In the spirit of the importance of strong friendships to a marriage, Sofia and Prince have asked two friends to read selections about love that especially resonate with them." Si Jelly ang bumasa sa first reading habang si Diane naman ang bumasa sa Second reading.

And in turn, we, their community of friends and family, have a responsibility to this couple. By our steadfast care, respect, and love, we can support their marriage and the new family they are creating today." anang pari. "will everyone please rise" paghingi ng pabor nito sa mga tao sa loob ng wedding booth. Tumayo naman ang lahat. "Will you who are present here today, surround Sofia and Prince in love, offering them the joys of your friendship, and supporting them in their marriage?" tanong niya sa lahat. "we will" sabay-sabay na tugon naman nila.

"We've come to the point of your ceremony where you're going to say your vows to one another. But before you do that, I ask you to remember that love – which is rooted in faith, trust, and acceptance - will be the foundation of an abiding and deepening relationship. No other ties are more tender, no other vows more sacred than those you now assume. If you are able to keep the vows you take here today, not because of any religious or civic law, but out of a desire to love and be loved by another person fully, without limitation, then your life will have joy and the home you establish will be a place in which you both will find the direction of your growth, your freedom, and your responsibility. Please now read the vows you have written for each other." Mahabang litanya ng pari.

"I Sofia/Prince, take you, Sofia/Prince to be my husband/wife, my constant friend and partner, and my love. I will work to create a bond of honesty, respect, and trust; one that withstands the tides of time and change, and grows along with us. I vow to honor and respect you for all that you are and will become, taking pride in who we are, both separately and together.I promise to challenge you, and to accept challenges from you. I will join with you and our community in an ongoing struggle to create a world we all want to live in, where love and friendship will be recognized and celebrated in all their many forms. Our home will be a sanctuary and a respite for us and for those whom we cherish. Above all, I will give you my love freely and unconditionally. I pledge this to you from the bottom of my heart, for all the days of our lives." Sabay na palitan ng vows ng dalawa.

"May I have the rings, please?" sabi ng pari sa ring bearer. Pagkakuha ng singsing ay agad na binalingan niya ang dalawa. "Please repeat after me: I give you this ring, as a daily reminder of my love for you." Anito. Inulit naman ng dalawa ang sinabi ni Mang Jon, habang binibigkas nila ito ay siya din pag suot nila ng kanilang singsing isang tanda ng kanilang kasalan.

"By the power of your love and commitment, and the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may kiss the bride!." Huling bendisyon ni Mang Jon. Nagtilian naman ang lahat at nangingibabaw na dito ang sigaw ng kanilang kaibigan. "binata kana Pare!" "Kisss!" "Go love birds!" samu't saring ingay ang sinisigaw ng mga tao sa booth kasabay pa nito ang malakas na palakpakan nila.

Kinuha naman ni Prince ang kamay ni Sofia at hinalikan niya ang likod ng palad nito, at binigyan din niya ito ng isang maginoo halik sa kanyang noo. Nagsigawan naman ang lahat parehong namula ang dalawa. "MOREEE!" biglang sigaw ng lahat. Nagtinginan naman ang dalawa. Akmang hahalikan ni Prince si Sofia sa labi ng inunahan siya ng dalaga hinalikan niya agad ito sa Pisngi. Tila nangamatis naman ang binata sa ginawang pag iwas ng dalaga. Natuwa naman sila pareho pati na ang mga manunuod nila.

"okey picture picture!" masayang sabi ni Carmela. Nagsipuntahan naman ang lahat sa harap upang magpa kuha ng larawan sa dalawang bagong kasal. Matapos ang picturan ay nagkaroon naman ng pirmahan ang kanilang magiging Wedding certificate pati na yung papeles na Malaya na sila sa pag kakulong nila sa jail booth.

"Tara na sa honeymoon Misis? Haha" natatawang tanong ni Prince kay Sofia. "baliw haha" sagot nito at binatukan pa niya ang binata dahil sa kapilyuhan nito. Nagtawa nalang ang binata. At kinuha niya ang kamay nito at magkahawak kamay nga silang lumabas sa wedding booth.
