"GET IN, LOSER. WE'RE GOING SHOPPING!"
America, with his free arm, began to wave it around. "I'm throwing down a rope ladder!"
Carter gazed up with an expression full of awe. "These people are so cool!" she gasped.
I gave a small smile and gathered the courage to climb up the ladder. It wasn't very long, so I didn't have quite as much trouble as one would assume. Once at the top, America grabbed my arms and helped me into the helicopter. "Thanks," I wheezed, glancing back at the ground behind me and going a little weak in the knees.
Carter climbed up at a significantly quicker rate. "Sup, Murica?" she asked, high-fiving the nation.
My height anxiety eventually my dizzy spell to fade and to notice that Britain and France were also sitting in the helicopter. America shut the side-hatch and sat down. "Hey, what are you two doing here?" I asked, also doing the latter.
"Making sure America doesn't kill himself," England grumbled.
"Making sure that the new girl was pretty." France smirked and attempted to put his arm around Carter. "And she is, non?"
Carter didn't say anything, she just started to look really uncomfortable.England sighed and glanced at his leather wristwatch. "We should be there in twenty minutes... anyway, I might as well brief you two somewhat. Some of the World Summit nations have experienced attack or attack threats... now, we aren't exactly sure why, but they seem to be keen on using locations us nations often visit." Despite holding a cool expression, I could hear the nervousness in the man's voice. "Unfortunately... due to the situation, we'll be holding a meeting every day for the next few days. Of course, you won't be driving up every day. You both are set to stay with Mister Kevin Regnard for the time being, if that works for you."
Carter fake-gagged. "With that creep?"
England scratched the back of his neck nervously at this. "I don't know him personally, so I wouldn't know him very well. But he offered to allow you to stay out of courtesy. I hear he has a fairly big house, so I'm sure you would be fine. However, its your judge-"
"Ohonhon! Why don't they just stay at my hotel room, hmm?" France grinned and started to lean towards Carter. The girl responded by pushing him back a little. "I-I'd rather not..."
I watched this go down with a rather apparent frown. "Honestly... I'd rather just stay with Breaku."After a minute of silence, I had begun to get incredibly bored. Suddenly, I smiled, thinking of something. I cleared my throat. "Hey, England... since you have no friends, I had an idea. If you give me twenty bucks, I'll be your friend... at the very least, a casual acquaintance."
England's mouth twitched. "I have friends," he protested. America burst out laughing at this while France spoke his concerns about the helicopter tipping over.
