-Carter's POV-
Alright, so I pulled my luggage into that drafty back room where extra supplies and stuff are kept. I had to get them after the meeting, but that wasn't too hard. After I put them down, I turned to Allison, who still held a freaked out looking Echo in her carrier. "You know... I doubt we'll go to the same place... how long will it be until we see each other again?"
Allison sighed, looking off to the side a little. "I don't know. But we'll keep in touch... right?"
I nodded, smiling. Aww, she cared. "Of course!"
Allison sighed, giving a wary smile. "Let's get this over with."
-Kiku's POV-
I sighed and wiped my forehead with the back of my hand. "Prease don't cry, Italy-kun. It's just for a while." I tried to break free of Italy's grip.
"I can't help it! I can't see my good friends during this! I'm going to miss you and Germany!" Italy sniffled and loosened his grip on the... incredibly awkward group embrace.
Germany pulled back with more force. "Italy, sometimes I can't help but mistake you for a five year old girl when you are like this. It'll be fine as long as you don't do anything stupid." Italy kept sniffling. "But then again, you probably will."
I turned to America and changed tone. "Alfred... can I borrow some change? I need to buy something real quick but I don't have American money with me."
America perked up. "Oh, sure dude! Uh... here!" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a few dollars and handed it to me, his hand a little more rigid than usual. I thanked him and stepped outside to buy Italy a Popsicle.
The air was warm. Many beverage venders littered the streets. The smell of lemonade wafted through the tangles of people, so it was easy to figure out where things were being sold. I walked over to the nearest vendor stand and ended up buying a small mint gelato as well as a Popsicle, since I had a dollar left over.
"Italy, I brought you something," I softly announced, finding him in the filling Summit room.
Italy perked up a little. "Y-Yes Ja-Japan?"
I handed him the Popsicle, and he immediately started grinning like a child. "Ve~! It's my flag colors! Look, Germany, look! Japan is so niiice~!"
"Mr. Honda!" I heard a feminine voice call.
I turned to see Allison standing a few lengths away, looking nervous. I smiled politely. "Miss Petrie."
She smiled apologetically and walked over. "So... anyway, I wanted to know where everyone else was going to be headed. Ke- I-I mean, Mister Regnard didn't tell me much about what's going on. It's government stuff, I understand, but... could you enlighten me some?"
I sighed, trying to decide what I should tell her. "I do not know a lot of the details... we are probabry staying in our own countries, or perhaps nearby ones, but I can't be sure. They're keeping information tight."
Allison nodded again, her eyes dimming a little. After a moment's hesitation, she said "I do wish I knew what made it come to this..."
I didn't know how to respond. I felt a growing cold feeling in my palm and realized I was still holding a gelato. "I should probably give this back to America..."
Allison glanced around, sighing. "I think... everyone is here. I should probably sit down."
I nodded in agreement. "It would be best... good luck."
She gave a soft smile.
"Thanks."
