The company finally arrived after a month's worth of traveling. Lilac and Lily were greeted by Robert, the head butler, and every single servant in the estate. They feasted for a night and rested for a couple of days, taking time to let their minds and bodies adjust and rest after their long and tedious travel.

The following days were just used as a practice time for Lilac. She wanted to know how to control the moving of mana in and out of her body in order for her to fool people into thinking that  she an immense mana capacity, and it was actually not going well for her. Ones mana capacity is something determined at birth, and this cannot be changed. This made Lilac find another way to obtain power.

"Lily why is this so hard?" Lilac complained to Lily after her thirteenth failed attempt for the day.

"If you stopped complaining, maybe you could have succeeded by now." Lily replied and urged her to continue. He snorted at seeing his seemingly perfect sister having trouble at something.

Some time ago, when Lily first awakened his magic, the twins experimented on many things. Lilac made theories about magic and Lily was the one who put it into action, with some failing, and the others succeeding. This was one of those that succeeded.

In theory, the human body has a part that absorbs the mana from the atmosphere and stores it. Mana is abundant everywhere, and it is up to you to know ways to synthesize it. Lilac theorized that this body part was like a tap constantly opened slightly and a bucket at the same time, with the mana being the water. If you use the water from the bucket it would slowly become empty, but the tap would gradually refill it with water overtime. But what if you have the means to open and close the tap whenever you like?

This was put into action by Lily.

It wasn't easy at first. The twins had to find ways in order for their experiments to not get out of hand. They almost gave it up, but after three months, Lily finally succeeded. Although he did, it wasn't easy to control it, especially if you wanted the mana to continuously flow in and out. This was solved by practicing his body into remembering what to do. Now it was Lilac's turn to do it.

During her spare time, Lilac would ask Robert about the town's status. Unfortunately it wasn't going well. They first thought that the town was going to be okay, with the outbreak seemingly being controlled. Then it suddenly went downhill. Death rates started rapidly rising, people starting to leave and the economy was starting to collapse. Lilac put aside her magic training and began to make plans.

One day while Lilac was studying in the veranda, she heard a commotion below her. A haggard man was desperately calling out for the lord of the mansion, saying something incoherent. The guards tried to prevent the man from intruding. When they almost carried the man away from the mansion, Lilac ordered them to stop.

"What is this commotion all about?" Lilac asked the guards.

"Little Lady, can you call the Duke please? I really need to speak to him abo-"

"Milady, it would be best to ignore the ramblings of an insane person." A guard said, interrupting the strange man.

"And what is it that is so important that you have to cause a scene? You better not waste my time." Lilac ignored the guard and continued to speak with the man. She became intrigued by him.

"About the plague... solution... need to talk to the duke about it... please..." The man talked fast, like he was saying his last words. Lilac couldn't even understand some of the words being said since it all melded together.

"Alright. Come back tomorrow early morning and be presentable. We'll listen to whatever you have to say." Lilac finally found someone who can possibly help her out.
