I dropped the ball, stopped spinning, and hit the button to stop my music. After a few seconds of silence, I thought it was just my imagination or a part of the song I never caught, then it happened again.
"Hello?"
The voice was muffled by the thick door, all I could make out was that it was a boy, or most likely. I didn't know what to do, I didn't expect anyone to knock, ever. The thought never ran through my mind, and it wasn't a teacher, they would have demanded me to open the door, or tell another teacher. It wasn't staff, they would be in the lunchroom. So, it had to be a student, but who?
"Is anyone in there?"
I didn't reply. Instead I stayed frozen, making no sound come from the room. My music was off and my lips were sealed shut.
"Alright Michael, open the damn door, I know you're in there, I saw you go in."
My jaw hung open, who was it? The only way to find out was if I were to open the door, would I risk it?
"Please. I watched you go into this room, unless you have a portal or something, I expect an answer."
The voice was becoming more and more recognizable with every word. I had an idea, but why would he do that?
"If you don't open, I will go get a teacher."
Without another word, I stood and unlocked the door. I opened it just a crack, enough to see out. There stood a boy with perfectly quiffed hair, flawless skin, beautiful blue eyes, a black ring around his lip, and a DROP DEAD sweater on, over his school attire; Lucas. His eyes met the small cracked opening and his eyes met mine.
"There we are, now that wasn't so hard, was it?"
He chuckled slightly, he had an adorable laugh. It was really cute and his eyes slightly crinkled when he laughed or smiled hard enough. And those dimples could kill anyone.
He pushed the door open more so it was all the way open, and we stood facing each other. I couldn't say anything. I was frozen in my place. How'd he find me? Why wasn't he in the lunchroom? Where were the other jocks? Why wasn't he with them?
"Are you okay?"
Yet another question I couldn't answer, nor wouldn't.
"It is Michael right?"
The only way I could answer his question was by slightly nodding. If you weren't looking you'd think I was still frozen.
"Alright good. You are in my Math, Music and PE class but I never see you in PE, I mean your name is on the list so I just assumed... yeah..."
He trailed off, and his eyes darted anywhere but me. First to the floor, then to the walls. He started to notice all the posters, I could see it. He just kinda observed at first then said, "Did you do all this?"
