Chapter 38 - How To Save A Life

There was silence after Luke said that. My mind was trying to tie together all that was happening with me being in a coma and the fact the past few months have been a complete lie and then Luke comes in and add more to the mess.

"You like me?"

All he did was just slowly nod. Leaning his head over, "Can I ask you something?"

My heart was beating faster and faster, "Yeah?"

"Will you be my boyfriend?"

I sighed and gripped my hair. His smile fell and I could feel the sadness erupt through the room.

"I really want to.. god damnit I was to so badly, I honestly want to push you back onto the bed and makeout with you but sadly I don't know what to do any more. I just need to sort things out."

He stayed quiet for a second before nodding, "How much time do you need?"

"I don't know." I breathed.

"Okay... I can wait."

I smiled and looking up at him as he just smiled down at his lap. I let out a deep breath before talking, "Luke?"

"Yes, Mikey."

I smiled before climbing over and putting my hand beside him as he leaned back onto the bed. I put my other hand next to his head as I leaned down and pressed my lips to his.

I never thought I would be able to feel his lips upon mine again. Sparks erupted inside of me as the boy underneath me moaned lightly. I pulled away slightly just enough to bite his lip making him moan once more. It felt so perfect having him underneath me.

"Luke.."

"Hmm?"

I pulled away and backed off of him, "I can't."

He sighed and sat up, lips reddened and teeth marks slightly indented under his chin.

"I am- I just need some time."

"I understand... how about this.. Friday night I take you out for dinner or something.. take as much time as you need, I will wait for you." He smiled, and I returned it.

He got off the bed and faced the door, I then grabbed his hand before he was out of reach.

"Please don't go.. Not yet.." He nodded and sat back down in the bed.

"Can we- can we turn on some music and- and-" I studdered.

"Cuddle?" He finished while I nodded. 

I laid down and pulled my arms up to my chest, there was so many things running through my mind, I couldn't even speak correctly.

I listened to the sound of How To Save A Life filling the air. He laid down next to me and engulfed me into a warm embrase. The slow heartbeat of his chest putting me at peace.

"Michael?" He whispered.

"Yeah?" I mummbled back.

"What happened while you were in the coma?" 

I sighed, "I don't remember."

"Bullshit, you remember. I know because when you first saw me, you told me you missed me." He hushed.

There was silence for a second while I thought of what I could say. I couldn't tell him the truth, could I?

"Okay, so basically it was just like normal, but you were my best friend."

I wasn't lying, tecnically Luke was my best friend, but he was also my boyfriend and my true love. So I was only telling half of the truth.

"Would you say I am your best friend here as well?" He asked, letting out a long breath.

"Yeah, I would."

"Good, because you're my best friend too."

We listened to The Fray as we laid together, it was perfect just the way it was. The way his arms perfectly gripped my [manly] curves, my head resting perfect upon his chest, just under his collarbone, and the way our legs perfectly tangled together to make a sloppy black mess.

"Luke, I'm tired." I muttered.

"Then go to bed." He replied.

"But I can't... you'll leave.."

"Don't worry, I'm never leaving."

Sorry this is long overdue and way too short but fuck it, I'm punk rock. or at least I try to be.

Okay, news, there is, I believe, less than 10 chapters left. Or who knows maybe this God forsaken thing will have 100 chapters but I don't think so.

Another thing, do you guys remember when I wrote Michael went over to Derek's and he got his Septum pierced? Well, guess who got that actually done. AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH BUT IT HURTS LIKE A BITCH. Yeah, It's so cool, you can see it in my profile pic which should be on the side or if you are on moble when you get to the end of a chapter, at least, that's what it should be. Yeah, and my parents don't know so shhh

Besides that, Supernatural was on tonight which is amazing, that show is great and I had Bella over to watch it with me and yeah we were freaking out. (I also got to pierce her ear while she was over here, she only had 1 pierced wtf)
