A Ruff Relationship And A Purrrfect Ending

I walk into the tavern to see felli working her shift. Her smile was so bright as she wish the last of the customers to a good night, meaning it to the very bottom of her soul. Jake carried the dirty dishes to the back and oliver cleaned up the tables and swept.

"Thank you felli" I say as I give her a hug my tail wrapping around her leg. I start crying...

The words issak said finally sinking in...after you kill someone, you can't go back...

"it's something i would give my life to have."...

"emma are you ok" felli said with a worried look on her face.

"yea im fine" i say as i choke back my tears "i just need to get some sleep"

"Ok i'll walk you to the house and you can sleep in my bed"

"Thank you felli your so kind"

"DAD, DADDY IM TAKING EMMA HOME"

"O-ok honey be safe"

"come right back ok"

"Ok dad's love you"

Felli then grabs my hand interlocking fingers.. I start to blush and get a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Our tails then wrap around each other as we walk down the street. It was too quiet, making me think far too much.

"Emma, you can tell me anything, you know that right." Feli says, looking over at me.

"I did something bad today, Feli."

"Did you break some dishes or steal some food? I don't think Uncle Issak would mind."

"No... i got in a fight... and i almost went feral... for a split second..."

"Oh... dad told me a couple stories of times he went feral.. None of them were good. Daddy went feral a couple times... he doesn't like talking about it..." her ears sulk.

"Yeah... it's not something people like to talk about."

"I've seen Uncle Issak feral before... but he always knew when to stop. If you were ever were to go feral... i think you would be able to know when to stop."

She's seen Issak when he was feral?

"Was it scary."

"At first..." Feli says. "But i knew he wouldn't hurt me."

"Have you ever...?"

"No... not officially at least... i bit someone once..."

"It's not the same, Feli." i say weakly, as if i was going to cry. She looks at me and whimpers, nuzzling me softly. "I could have... i could have... i could have..."

"But you didn't."

"But i wanted to! I was going to get my revenge! I was going to...!"

Tears fell, wetting my fur.

"Then what would you do after that? What would that have accomplished." Feli asked. "Do you think that would make you happy? Truly and honest happy, with no regrets?"

"Feli..."

"Uncle Issak has many regrets, he told me. So many of them." Feli says. "I don't know what he did or does... but i know he wouldn't want you to have them."

"Not when i have you, right?"

"Right!" I kiss Feli on the forehead."Thanks."
