~ Chapter 5 ~
I picked out a white tank top and wore it with some highwaisted black skinny jeans. I put on my white converse and fixed my hair in a ponytail. I put on some mascara quickly, seeing as I was already late for the bus.
It was finally friday and it was now official that it was only 1 week left until summer vacation.
I stumbled out of my room with no worries about today. My dad was working, and he wouldn't be home until six or seven. That means I'm allowed to bring some friends over for movienight. Or I'm not allowed to, but I do it anyway. It's not like he notices. He's too drunk to even tell where the stairs are.
Usually on fridays, my dad would take some time off, and go partying. Today was no exception .
I grabbed an apple before I bringing my bookbag and ran out of the house. I had to take the bus, and if I miss it now I won't make school in time. Of course, with one week left of school, it wouldn't really matter if I skipped some classes. We had finished the books anyway. We were going off to College now. But being the good girl I am, I didn't miss any of my classes, just because of my image.
"Hey Ariana!" Justin shouted from the opposite sidewalk. He waved at me, and I found myself being distracted by how his t-shirt lifted and revealed his V-line. I swallowed nervously, and shook the thought away. I would feel my cheeks heating up, and it was definetly not before it was 93 F degrees outside.
"Hey! Sorry but I'm in a hurry! Can't miss the bus." I shouted back.
"Oh no, it's okay! I can give you a ride." I could see his big, white smile all the way from here.
"No really, it's okay, I'll just take the bus." Right when I said that, the bus passed by my house and drove its way to school. Just my luck.
"Damn it." I mumbled. If I don't take that ride with Justin, I probably have to walk and then I'd miss first period. I can't miss any classes. Not now that my GPA is clean.
Justin smirked, nudging his eyebrows up in amusement. "What about now?"
"Sure, I could use a ride." I said, heading towards him.
He never stopped smirking as I made my way over, munching on my apple.
We didn't really say much. "How deep is your love" by Calvin Harris played in the background, and I found myself humming the words.
I directed Justin on the way. He didn't know where the school was, and he didn't have any GPS. "So this is the reason you asked me if I needed a ride in the first place? Because you don't know where the school is?"
He nodded while blushing and smiling at the same time. It looked kind of cute. His jaw was strong, but his cheeks were still full and adoreable. I really want to kiss those cheeks someday.
Did I just say that to myself?
I blushed only thinking about it, and chose to ignore it as Justin parked the car.
Many people were staring at us as we walked into the school. They were curious about who the hot, new kid was. Some of the Cheerleaders were pushing their boobs in his direction with a flirty smile. While others looked at me in disgust, wondering why a freak like me had the audicity to walk in with a hot guy in the leap. Well, I'll enjoy it while it lasts. Because I was sureonce he realized my status at school, he would be running off for the hills.
