~ Chapter 11 ~

I froze. What did he mean? Did he see dad? Did he see anything? Had I forgotten to shut the door? Panic rose in me, and I almost felt sick. I swallowed the lump forming in my throat as I gave him a questioning look, I was trying my best not to look alarmed by his question.

"What do you mean?" I asked, my voice merely above a whisper.

"I was just kidding. You should've seen your face!" He broke out into fits of laughter, his white teeth coming into view.

I let out a giggle, letting the small heart attack simmer down until my heart was beating normally again.

He scared the fucking shit out of me.

"So, what movies can we pick from?" He asked, a smile still plastered on his face.

That smile was worth the small heart attack I got a few seconds ago.

I stood up and walked into my dads office. I picked up the MacBook pro before taking it with me back to the couch.

He moved closer to me, as I opened up my account on Netflix. I could feel his knee brushing against mine, and his arm was moving behind me, until I felt it resting on the edge of the couch.

Swoon.

"Hm, have you seen Divergent?" He asked.

"Uh-uhm no I was going to watch it at the movies but I never had enough time," I was distracted by his arm. That fucking arm resting on the edge of the couch, and if I leaned back, I would feel his muscles against my neck. But I wasn't going to do that, how weird would it be for the girl next door to suddenly feel your biceps up?

"We could watch it?" He didn't miss a beat. He was acting like this was no big deal, but I was almost hyperventilating as I started typing 'Divergent' in the search box.

"Yeah sure," I let out a small breath, my shoulders were tense, and my eyes were focused so hard on the screen. I didn't want to show him how much the small gestures were affecting me.

I excused myself quickly, as I distracted myself with finding the HDMI cable I was going to use. I got the Mac and the TV to show the same picture with help from Justin, considering I (acted) like I didn't know where to plug it in.

"Bitches! We are back!" I heard, the frontdoor was shut hard afterwards.

Of course, Justin was hovering over me, as he showed me the hole to plug in the cable, and the suddenly, Andrew and Kendall walked in. They knew that I could put the cable in myself, and sent me a knowing look as they waltzed into the living room. Justin's, however, didn't dwell on it, and looked at the bags in their hands like they were made out of gold.

"Your car was fucking lit," Kendall handed Justins keys back to him.

"Well thank you," he laughed a little afterwards. He sat down with a bag of chips in his hands, munching slowly. His mouth was adorable.

Kendall catched me looking, and gave me another knowing look. My cheeks burned up, and I quickly turned around busing myself with the movie again.

"Come on, turn the lights off! The movie is ready" I rushed out, as I put the movie on. I sat down between Kendall and Justin. Kendall nudged my shoulder, but I refused to turn toward her. Another knowing look would make me go tomato red again, and I definitely didn't need that when Justin was in close proximity.

I didn't want to eat anything with the puffy face, and the hurtful bruises. I swept over it every now and then, to check if it was hurting me. And let me tell you, it was.

So when Justin grabbed a bag of chips, while Kendall and Andrew shared a bag of sour patch kids - I sat beside them, the only one not eating anything. And my stomach was growling loudly.

"You want some?" Justin asked, offering me some chips.

I shook my head slowly, even though I really wanted that sour cream taste of chips in my mouth.

"No thanks," I mumbled, sending him a small smile, as I moved my attention back to the tv.

Yes I was a little shy in the beginning, but once you really got to know me I could be the craziest person on earth. Kendall and Andrew had first hand experience with that.

The movie ended eventually and Justin was the first one to leave. We stood by the door, all of us, as we said goodbye to him. He gave Kendall and Andrew a small hug, and when he came along to me, we almost kissed. Almost kissed.

There was an awkward laugh after that, before he put his arms around me and held me close to him for a few seconds longer than he did with the others. And they sure noticed as they sent me looks and demonstrated with their hands, a keyhole and a finger passing in.

My friends are perverted fucks.

Now it was just me, Andrew and Kendall.

"The two of you are so going to get it on," Kendall said knowingly. "Like seriously, the sexual tension is killing me," she huffed.

Andrew looked at her with a smirk, and sent her a wink. "Don't worry about the sexual part, bab-"

"Alright, are we done having this conversation," I held up my hands over my ears. I was not going to listen to them listing off their sexual promises, I swear to god, I might just vomit.

Kendall let out a small giggle, but her eyes were suddenly serious, and I let my hands fall down on each side of my body.

"You wanna sleep over at my house tonight? I am not going to let you sleep under the same roof as that freak," Kendall hinting to my dad. I could hear the worry in her voice, and I felt bad for telling them about any of it.

"It's okay, Ken. Really. I'm used to it by now. But as fast as I get a job or something I'm going to move out," I smiled a little at her, taking her hand and squeezing it in reassurance.

"Have you applied for that job on your uncles restaurant?" Andrew asked curiously.

My uncle Fredrik knew that my dad had a temper, but even though he was his brother, Fredrik was nothing like my dad. He was the softest man I had ever met, but he didn't know that my dad did the things he did.

"I've called my uncle, but he isn't answering any calls. So when the summer starts, I am going to visit him. If I get that job, I have to move to Santa Monica in Cali."

They nodded in understanding, both at the same time.

"Then we are moving with you," Kendall sent me a big bright smile, as she took her hand in Andrew's. Andrew also took his hand in my, so we were in a triangle holding hands.

I giggled when I saw Andrew giving me the same smile.

"I won't leave without you guys, that's for sure," I agreed.
