After my warmup and stretch, I sit on the bench again as Stiles and Scott walk out of the school. Scott looks like he wants to crawl in a ball and hide under a rock and Stiles looks like he's trying to decipher The Da Vinci Code. Oh boy. Just like clockwork Coach's famous whistle is blow and practice begins.
"Here we go!" He begins yells. "Let's go! One-on-one on up top! Jackson take a long stick today. Atta boy." Jackson loves defence, gives him a chance to let off some steam, show the other players why he's their captain. Mainly just to man handle everyone. Scott and Stiles walk up to me and disrupt my peep talk.
"Spencer we need to talk." Scott whispers.
"Right now? I'm about to go up!" I whine as the line moves forward and coach blows his whistle.
"Yes right now, it's about the hunters..." Scott whispers more harshly, causing my eyes go wide. I turn around slowly and stand frozen as he continues talking. "The one that shot us, the leader. He's Allison's father."
"What?! Her-her father? Are you sure?" I whisper/shout.
"Yes I'm positive. I saw him pick her up a few minutes ago, it was defiantly him."
"What you saw him? And he saw you? Did he recognize you?"
"No, no I mean I don't know."
"Does Allison know?"
"You're literally asking the same things Stiles just asked." Scott chuckles a little.
"Scott focus, you're future girlfriend's father is trying to kill us because we're werewolves!" I whisper/shout again as my breathing increases. "How are you co calm about this?" I question.
"Lacrosse?" He shrugs as coach blows his and calls Scott.
"McCall, what are you waiting for? Let's go." He says pointing at Scott as he walks up. The whistle is blown and Scott runs up towards Jackson and is literally lifted off the ground and slammed down on his back, hard.
"Owwww." Stiles and I both whisper as we cringe at the sight.
"Hey, McCall." Coach calls. Here we go... "Hey, McCall!" Coach laughs as Scott lies on the ground.
"You sure you still want to be first line, McCall?" I faintly hear Jackson mockingly question as he walks towards the net. I shake my head as Scott finally pulls himself off the ground. Jackson's so jealous. And may the humiliation start... now. I don't get it, Coach literally loves me yet when it comes to Scott he hates him for absolute no reason. Most of the time it's funny, actually all the time it's funny. I just feel bad for old Scotty over there.
"My-my grandmother can move faster than that. And she's dead. You think you can move faster than the... Lifeless corpse of my dead grandmother?" Coach questions. I stare at Scott, spotting the golden glow from his eyes and fangs. I already know this won't end well. Scott could never handle his anger all too well.
"Yes, coach." Scott answers.
"I can't hear you." Coach says, just to piss him off.
"Yes, coach!" Scott says louder, almost growling. Oh boy.
"Then do it again." He says dragging Scott by the helmet and leading him to the line. "McCall's gonna do it again! McCall's gonna do it again!" Coach calls and blows his whistle. "Let's go!" And this time when Scott and Jackson collide Jackson goes down, harder and Scott falls to his knees, clutches onto his helmet. Scott you idiot! Just 'cause you're not human doesn't mean everyone else isn't. I think to myself as Stiles and I run up to Scott.
