Coming out of the killing game had been tough. No on expected it to be easy, especially after all that you had witnessed, the murder, the death, the lies and betrayal. Now knowing that none of it had been real was both relieving but also concerning. Had this shown everyone's true natures? True colours? Maybe so, but the thought made your head hurt. Having to face up to what everyone had done, having to see killer and victim look each other in the eyes, and watch them struggle to find the words. It was harder than you had imagined. Perhaps you would even go so far as to say that was the worst part of it all. It was agonising, almost. No, the worst part had definitely been the truth about Chiaki. Everyone had lived. Expect her. She had not been alive in the game at all. That was easily the most heart breaking. Remembering the girl who was, but is no more. Your class was down one person, and never had you felt it more.

The survivors had mostly been taking the break well, you were pleasantly surprised by the optimism from Hajime, Akane, Fuyuhiko and Kazuichi. Yes, they were taking on the chin as it were. (Not to say they didn't find it hard, they just seemed like the strongest members amongst the group). You weren't even sure how you'd made it all the way to the end of the game with them. You never pictured yourself as much of a survivor, optimistic to a fault but all around a little too weak for a situation like you had found yourself in. It was almost strange that you had made it so far. Actually, the more you thought about how you had survived, the more you began to realise the answer to how you had made it so far.

The Princess, Sonia Nevermind. She had always been the shining light of the games in your eyes. Maybe that was a little bit of an exaggeration, since it was true you had been charmed by the princess since the start, but it was most certainly the honest truth that you drew on the other girl for a great deal of strength during the game.

You had seen her darkest moment, and yet somehow she still managed to shine through. It was inspirational, really. You had stuck close to Sonia throughout the game, and tried to be the same strength for her that she had lent to you. You weren't sure if you were successful, but you let her cry on your shoulder or sneak into your room of a night when she had a nightmare - of course, making sure the two of you weren't caught by anyone.

Yes, you had a bond with the Princess, so it was incredibly jarring for you to see her take coming out of the killing game so hard. She was the exception to the survivors, she was definitely not the strong shining light you had seen her has during the game. Yes, you may have all be a little different during the game, but really, how different could one person really be? You had attended Hope's Peak with these people, you were close to Sonia even then. She was never one to be like this.

On Jaberwock island, she had isolated herself away almost instantly after coming out of the simulation. No one could put their finger on exactly what it was, but the princess could barlely face anyone, and it was beginning to worry the entirety of the group. Perhaps she was having the same difficulty you were, coming to terms with what everyone had done to each other, or maybe it was the news about Chiaki that had her lock herself away. Maybe it was something no one had thought of.

But whatever was getting the princess so down, you were determined to be the one to cheer her up. Or, at least try to do so. You were never sure how Sonia felt for you, even if you were very clear about your own feelings. You know very well that you liked Sonia in a romantic way. Perhaps some people would find it odd, but you didn't think so. She was nothing short of an angel in your eyes, one who never failed to surprise or send your heart aflutter. You had dropped hints many times, and it seemed like she was finally aware of your feelings, though she seemed confused in return. Her own feelings didn't seem so clear.
