"Oh look, it's the nerd again, I thought something reeked," Togami's snide comment cut through the room as you stepped into the classroom, your books for the lesson held tightly to your chest. Your head had been hung, hoping to avoid being noticed at all, though it seemed to be too late for that now, so you lifted your head and set him with a stern glare.

"Shut your mouth..." You hissed as a bare minimum defence of yourself. While you could be confrontational, you decided that no matter how angry Togami's constant nit-picking would make you, that conflict in front of the rest of the class was a huge no-no. While everyone agreed that Togami was an asshole, they had most accepted that it was just how he was, so no one ever bothered to say anything to him.

"How pitiful," He sneered as you stormed past his desk, moving towards your own space at the back. "I would point out exactly how worthless you are, but your deformed brain wouldn't be able to figure it out, even if I put it in laymen's terms."

You slumped in your seat and let the pile of books slam down loudly, a few heads already turning to hear the argument that was surely brewing.

"You know," You said, leaning forwards with your elbows on your desk. "Your family tree must be a cactus, because everyone on it - especially you - are pricks."

"If I wanted your opinion, I'd have you fill out the necessary forms," Togami's face crumpled in disgust, and while his words didn't hurt that badly, the look was enough to make you slump back in your seat and slide down, wishing you could just disappear, as more and more pairs of eyes began to turn to you. "Do me a favour and staple your fingers together, you degenerate,"

However, Togami may have picked the wrong moment to insult you, as the classroom door slid open halfway through, and in the doorway was Mondo Owada. Mondo hadn't been in class all week - presumed unwell - and without your intimidating buddy at the next desk over, Togami's torment had began. However, your rather overprotective friend had caught him in the act.

"Oi, what the fuck?" Mondo boomed instantly, slamming the classroom door and marching towards you and Togami, who sat one desk diagonally to your left. One whiff of trouble and Mondo was there, ready to kick some ass for you, even if nothing was really going on. Though, this time, he'd hit the jackpot.

"What do you want, you primitive brute?" Togami sneered, seemingly unintimidated by the biker.

"I don't give a fuck what you say about me, if you have a problem with Y/N..." He trailed away, voice becoming dangerously quiet. This was how you knew he was deadly serious... While Mondo seemed to be constantly yelling, it was more for show and intimidation purposes, you knew the real shit would kick off when he became calm. Scarily calm.

"My problem is that she's an air-headed wretch who-"

"Shut your goddamn mouth, before I shut it for you!" Mondo threatened in a growl. By this point, everyone was staring, waiting for something to give, watching for when the tension would be too much and the whole situation would just snap.

"Why don't you think about that and reconsider, it'll be one more thought than you've had all day," Togami pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose.

"I will shove your entire upper body into your own ass and make you fuck yourself from the inside out!" Mondo growled out, his fists clenching in anger, and you could see the veins on his neck standing out. He was on the verge of snapping - he never did have a particularly great amount of patience.

"Of course you resort to violence," Togami snorted. "Because that thick skull of yours is completely empty, if you had one more brain cell you would qualify as a plant-"

Togami's sentence was cut off as Mondo's fist flew, connecting with his jaw in a loud crack, and Togami flew completely off his chair, glasses falling to the floor - broken and shattered.

You saw Mondo moving towards Togami, and while you sincerely wanted Mondo to beat the crap out of him, it wouldn't look good on your part, considering you were the only one who would be able to calm Mondo down. So, of course, you looped your arm through Mondo's, and with great difficulty, dragged him out into the corridor.

The door bumped shut behind him and you heaved out a heavy sigh.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean for you to end up involved in -" You began, turning back towards Mondo. However, you words were cut short.

You found your back against the wall opposite the door, Mondo looming in front of you, his grip on you firm enough to keep your in place. Your words were stopped by his lips, cramming hard against yours in a fiery, unexpected kiss, which left you lost, unable to keep up, your mind whirling in all directions.

"He pisses me off..." He growled between kissing you, leaving you to gasp for breath before his lips found yours again, giving you no respite from the anger-fuelled kiss. You couldn't deny him, you had wanted this for so long, and while the situation was unexpected, and the nature of his feelings for you still a little misty, you couldn't deny that this was everything you had wanted and more. "I'm not letting anyone talk to you like that..."

"Mondo..." You gasped breathlessly when he finally slowed the kiss and pulled his lips from yours, but kept himself close to you, you body sandwiched between his and the wall behind you.

"Why didn't you tell me about this, dammit..." He grumbled. "I could've stopped this sooner..."

"I-I didn't want to involve you..."  You mumbled out your motive, though the disappointed and slightly hurt look her was giving you made you feel guilty to no end, even though you still stood by your motive for secrecy. "It's not your fight..."

"What the hell do you mean it's not my fight?! I love you, dammit!" He growled out, and your eyes went wide, his cheeks were tinted with an honest red. "You're my girl, alright? Your fight is my fight..."

"Alright..." You agreed bashfully. Somehow, something between the two of your had changed, the way he looked at you was finally different. It had been a long time coming, but finally, something had changed. The way his lilac eyes held the softness reserved for only you.

You smiled at him bashfully once more before leaning in and pressing his lips against yours in a kiss.
