I winced in pain as I sat up. My back hurt like a hell, and I was cold as can be. I was confused at first, but after looking down beside me and seeing Rae curled up on a fetus position on top of her car, memories from the night before started flooded back.
I smirked as I heard soft snored come from her throat and out her parted lips. She looked so kissable. My smile soon faded though when I realized how cold she must be. Her shivers came out softly, so I decided it was probably best if I took her inside.
Fuck.
Her dad was probably inside. I didn't want to put up with his shit, but I didn't need her to die from hypothermia or some shit. I had an idea pop into my head, but I wasn't sure.
I knew Rae kept her car keys in her front pocket, but I didn't want to wake her up either. I stared at her for a minute, treasuring her beauty. Her hair was sprawled out and her knees were almost tucked up all the way to her neck. It was cute. She was cute.
She shifted in her position on the car, not waking up, but closing up her mouth and switching sides. I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding, thankfully I hadn't woken her up.
I thought about just picking her up and throwing her inside the car with me, but I settled down on a different Idea. I remembered picking up a jacket before Cal and I left last night, and as i left it, It was still left tightly tied around my waist.
I untie the loose bond, and take it off my hips, gently resting the open jacket over Rae's small from, careful not to wake her up. She moved around a bit as the fabric hit her arms, but she didn't wake up, thank god.
After hopping off the windshield of the car, I leaned my hurting back up against the front door of it, whipping out my phone in the process. I could give a shit where Michael and Harley were, wasn't my problem, but I knew I had to walk Calum home sooner or later.
I scrolled through the contacts, and eventually my eyes landed on his contact. I pressed the green call button, and soon after lifting the phone up to my ears, all I heard was the Cal's voice telling me to call again later.
I sighed after that. He was probably still asleep, and I didn't blame him after looking at the clock and seeing that it was only 9am. I didn't understand why I woke up so early every morning on the weekends. I guess I guess I was just use to waking up early for school every day.
I wasn't very tired as of now, but I didn't want to ruin the perfect moment. It was a good opportunity to cuddle Rae, so I took it. I plopped down next to her once again, despite the uncomfortable hood of the car.
I leaned down, and before wrapping my arms around her sides completely, I kissed her swiftly on the cheek. I took her forearms in m hand and closed my eyes shortly after, trying to fall back asleep.
-
"Ash," I hear in my ear, as well as the feeling of somebody shaking me over and over. I rolled over to see Rae standing next to the hood of her car.
"shit." I cursed as i arched my back up into the correct position. I had forgotten how bad it hurt sleeping on the goddamned car.
Rae looked at me nervously, and I frowned. She looked like she was worried about something, like she was urging to run away or something. I didn't like it. Her arms were wrapped around herself and her eyes wouldn't meet mine. I hoped silently that I hadn't unintentionally did something wrong.
She was now wearing her my jacket, still looking like she was frozen. But not because she was cold, but frozen in fear. I was confused as I tried to figure out what was happening.
"Is everything okay, Cullens?" I question, hopping off the car in the process.
"Y-you should probably get out of here, i'm sure your mom is worried about you, yeah?" she asks back in a reply. I wasn't really focused on my mother's thoughts on where I was though. She looked as if she was about to break down, like something was about to happen.
