"I'm telling you Calum, she wasn't even a fake one. I mean she was hanging out with Luke. It was odd, but I'm telling the truth." I say to Calum as I steal one of the french fries off of his trey. I was trying to convince him that I had caught that douche bag Luke with a chill girl.
"There is honestly no point in putting thought into it, bro. It's a lost cause anyway, liking a girl that may or may not have a past with Luke Hemmings."
"She was gorgeous. I had never seen her in my life, but I hope I see her again." I say completely ignoring his last comment as if I was love-struck.
"She doesn't go here?" He asks.
"I don't think so. We have never seen her before. She even had a friend I had never seen before with Michael as well."
"Speak of the devil." Calum says. He puts his head down and continues I pick at his food with a fork as I turn around.
The double doors swing open to reveal Luke with Michael and a couple of others behind him. My jaw drops at the sight. As Luke was laughing with Michael, I had noticed two girls behind him. My eyes popped out my skull and I turned around, staring down at my hands with my eyes bulging out of my skin. They were here. Those were the girls I had seen the other day at the shoe center.
"C-calum, that's them. Those are the girls" I say between a whisper and a yell.
"What?" He says with a contorted face of confusion. I repeat what I said, and he turns around slowly before speaking again. "Woah," he exclaims. "Fuckin' babes." He says. His cheeks fill up with air before blowing it out in a sigh.
"I just have to know her name, Calum. I have to."
"Well then, which one is the lucky gal then, Ash?" He chuckles at my impatience, wiggling his eyebrows immaturely.
"The one with the boots and skirt" I watch her with hearts in my eyes, completely in awe. That is, until I see them all get up from the table at once. Luke's arm slithered off of the girls shoulder, plopping it into his lap. Her legs landed on the floor as she shot him a swift smile, then she just left. But just before she could, being the sex craving ass-hat that Luke Hemmings was, I watched, as his hand quickly lands on her ass and back down, with a smirk plastered onto his face. He then turns back around and laughs with Michael in hysteric.
My smile dimmed, tension growing in the air around me. I wanted to tear him to shreds, I wanted to do anything I could to destroy Luke Hemmings. I was being slightly over dramatic, but she was so different. The only thing stopping me was that he was at the top of his game, and I was just me. I was a slump. Just a scrawny book worm who mopes around thinking about hot girls and how I'll never get them. It was pathetic but in all honesty, what was even more pathetic was that the most popular guy in school had the audacity to smack girls' asses. especially that girl. Come to mention, she looked absolutely pissed.
She stopped in her tracks, a second after that her friend whipped around, staring at her and mouthing something into her ear I couldn't quite catch. The girl turned around, her frown growing as her cheeks filled in with a dark shade of red. She clenched her knuckles until they were white, and shrugged her bag up her shoulder. I was definitely taken back by her force when the next thing happened.
She waltzed back over to Luke, her hands still in fists. Luke is still smiling, but Michael wasn't. she taps his shoulder looking polite yet sarcastic, and he turns around quickly, looking up to see her angry face. His smile dropped immediately.
"Woah, You okay?" He says. I was able to hear the conversation as the noisy conversations of the cafeteria almost went completely silent. Everyone watched her. Calum turned around as well and stared as her eyes widen more and more within each second.
"No, I am not okay. Listen hear, Luke Hemmings." She begins to go off, but unexpectedly she puts her right boot on the table and helps herself onto the chair, pushing on her thigh and standing up in front of anyone. She eventually crosses her arms and looks down at him before speaking again. "If you ever, ever touch me like that again, I will tear you the fuck apart. Do you hear me?" She spits, now crouching on her knees and pointing down at Luke's chest. I was definitely enjoying this feisty side, but giggling for the most part while Luke got what he payed for.
"I-I'm sorry. Please just get down, Rae." Rae. That was her name. It'd been bugging me since the minute I saw her last night. The name suited her well, Dark hair, boots, and some random band's t-shirt. It was simple but stylish. I liked it. I liked it a lot.
But everyone was in shock when she reached her hand down into Luke's mashed potatoes, squishing it all into her hand with a grunting sound and hard look on her face. Luke was frightened and put his hands up, motioning for her to stop, when suddenly, she slammed it down onto his shirt covered chest. Luke's mouth went gaping wide and he stood up from the table swiftly.
"Why would you do that! Fuck, man, this was expensive." he yells in the girls face. She gets down from the table, flailing her fingers everywhere trying to get the remainders of mooshy potato skins off of her fingers. A smirk was planted on her face as the girl behind her covered her mouth, trying to stop her giggling.
"Well, you should have thought that through before you pinched my ass, you utter shit." She screams. She dips her finger onto his face, putting the piece of left over mashed potato into her mouth and eating it with a satisfied face. She then walks away as Luke is left to decipher what he should do. I turn back around to see a laughing Calum, struggling to stay calm.
"Well that was interesting" he says, carrying his sentence on between chuckles. I smile as well, but Cal was still right. It was a lost cause. She was a lost cause. This Rae girl was a solid 10 and I was at least a 3. Maybe 3 and a half, but it didn't matter. I would never get that girl, whether she was Luke's or not.
