After about fifteen minutes of worrying, and rubbing my sweaty palms against the cloth of my black jeans, the bus eventually came to a stop next to a near by gas station. It was the closest stop to the police station, maybe a two minute walk or less.

I scrambled up from my seat, almost tripping as I walked a bit too quickly to the two doors exiting the large bus. My arms were shivering, not from the end of the night wind, but from the consequences Rae could possibly pay for what she did.

When I was on the phone with Rae, she didn't tell me a thing about what she did, not hints, not nothing. I picked my nails over and over wanting an answer as to what she did. Maybe I could help out, if it was just a bail out, then I would do it, if it was her having to pay money for something she stole or maybe, I could probably chip in, because god knows her father won't do a thing with the thick skull he's got on him.

The wind blew past me as I proceeded to rush down the sidewalk, wanting more and more to get to Rae in that moment. She made me think earlier that I wasn't needed to her, but obviously I sort of was.

I continued to scurry down the long street of shops and houses lined up on the side, pale lights surrounding the walk way, lighting my path. I had been here before, so I knew that the police station was only at least a couple of blocks away from here.

I thought about how much easier it would be if I had an actual car. I would've had Rae in my arms more them ten minutes ago. I knew Rae had her license; almost every time I saw her besides the times we walked home together, she would be rolling past me in her truck. I was a bit embarrassing but I didn't mind the walk, it was my work out for the day I guess.

After a couple of minutes, my feet finally had dragged me to the police station. The front two doors were open with two wooden notches holding them open by the bottom. I waltzed through the entrance of the large building and paced for the front desk.

I stomped to the desk, resting my nervously shaking fists onto the counter as I waited for the police officer that was in charge to get off the phone. After a minute, he hung up the phone and turned to me with and grin on his face.

"How may I help you, young man?" He asks me.

"Uh-" I begin to say, leaning my head in to see if I could see Rae. "I'm looking for.. My girlfriend. Rae Cullens?" I asked for her name.

The man pursed his lips with a questioning look, then grabbed the walky-talky looking device off of his shoulder, and forced it close to his lips before speaking into it.

"Do we have a 'Rae Cullens' in the building?" The man asks. I didn't understand why he couldn't just look at some paperwork, didn't they have to at least check in or something?

"Uh, yes sir, we do, why is that?" The muffled voice of a high pitched voice rang from the other side of the device.

"There's a young man here, says he's her boyfriend. Think he's trying to bail her out." He says. The sound if being called Rae's boyfriend made me smirk a little. She wasn't here, so I could lie all I wanted. The police officer and I waited a couple of seconds before the voice came up again.

"Send em' in." He says with his country accent. I let out a brief sigh as the police officer rolls his chair to the opposite side of his desk, looking at the small red button on the wall. He pressed it and the two doors I'm front of me spread apart.

"Just walk down there, it should be at the end of the hall on the right, have a good day." He says with a smile. For a sheriff's office these police officers were surely pleasant.

"You too." I shot him a smile back.

I trudged through the thin hallway, the two doors closing shut behind me as the guard closed it. I wasn't exactly scared to see Rae, but afraid that she had some damage done or something. I guessed that if she was hurt they would've taken her to the hospital, but I was still worried about her.
