03.08.18 - 14:22PMOur worlds start to fade away
I feel like a million miles away, even though we're on the same planet
Even though you're next to me.Some say it's a drug, some say it's a mistake
A high.
A chemical reaction that faltered. Was this my warning?
My naivety screams, 'I wish I'll never come down'
Just to be up there with you.Light headed. In the clouds, fallen for you.
How far can you fall, if you've already hit the ground?
My worst fear comes alive, 'Don't let me go' you have no choice.
My fear seems to be yours too, so why did you do it?So let me fall, far away from both of us.
Light on my feet, head in the clouds, unaware.
Of the tricks you pulled on me,
Hidden like a mascarade in shadows, the strings behind the puppet. My warning.
Which I refused to hear.
Denial catches on the devils tongueBut you've already made up your mind.

How can I fix broken glass? You ask.
How can I make you feel good enough
To show you my worth, or for you to know yours?
Materialistic addiction. He was. Now gone.
In may not be in sight like the gems he gave you to bask in.
But instead words that show your true value.Unlike the one who took pride in something else.
I know I will never be him,
I know it is impossible to mend shattered glass,
But know that I am the most valuable thing you will ever find.
Shamefully you look past me.Therefore I leave, until your vision clears.
