[MY PREVENTED MIRACLE]

You know, when you just know, someone means something to you
And you, just can't let go? - prevented miracle
Sitting in crossfires
They don't hurt as much now
Because I saw the forecast.
I sat across from you in the field and the hoped filled sky, too far in distance,
And watched it unfold.
Sat across you in the field, you and her.
Walk away and forget.
It's not your fault
I saw the weather forecast and decided to do nothing.
Now the storms come I have no choice but to sit in the rain.
And let it swelter down my face
Pain showers down now.
Missing out on something great
But you're young, in mind, like me,
so you won't realize your mistake
Just because I was delayed
Acted like I never cared
When you're the main event that's
Circling around and around in my mind
But you never knew
Because I kept that from you
No words ever shared between us
But see I need you to release me
So my mind can go to sleep, and not think about you for another day
You say you care for her,
but you hold your gaze
I'm walking up the ladder and away
But when you call my name, I turn, you say keep going
Reach out for your hand, but you look away
Stare, but long for me to stay
Outstretch your hand for me to take, but say ignore it
I need to stop
Let me go
Set my mind free
So I can go
So I don't have to think
about my prevented miracle.
