You seem like everything I ever wanted
Your personality smiles,
burning fires in my mind
past that and inside your the perfect melody in my ears
But you get too nervous around me, I don't want to scare you
I'm only human too, don't let my face deceive, I want to know you for what you are
But every time I try to get close you get scared, readjust your looks and shy away more
I ask myself why,
can't you talk to me,
see past my face, like I see your treasure?
Some days I see you talk to others with so much confidence and trust.
I watch from a distance 'cause I know when I get close you run away in fear.
Why can't you talk to me, causing me pain, driving me insane?
don't you want to know?
I thought you cared, that's what others told me.
Why are you always scared,
you don't know you're gorgeous inside out.
I don't care about your face and looks like our generation does, don't let mine deceive you.
I ask your friends questions about what you think about me.
They say "oh my days, all she goes on about is you"
I say that can't be right, she turns away every time I see her
