[09:06] Sistah Dearest: Did you and dad argue last night?? Mom said he seems pissy about something??
[09:28] Hayes: Ugh
[09:29] Sistah Dearest: Is that a yes???
[09:30] Hayes: He thinks I'm spending too much time with Micah
[09:30] Hayes: That I need to get out more, see other people
[09:31] Hayes: I see other people!! In class! At work! Other people, all the time!
[09:32] Sistah Dearest: What about socially?
[09:32] Hayes: Idk it's hard to make friends as an adult
[09:33] Sistah Dearest: Last year you went out every weekend with people
[09:33] Sistah Dearest: What changed?
[09:34] Hayes: Clubs and bars hurt my head and my bank account
[09:34] Sistah Dearest: Pls
[09:35] Hayes: It's true! They're still fun every once and a while but I don't have the energy to do them every weekend anymore
[09:35] Hayes: Plus I've been picking up a lot of shifts
[09:35] Hayes: They're teaching me new stuff like inventory and scheduling now
[09:35] Hayes: I'm working my first VIP private event next week
[09:36] Sistah Dearest: Moving up in the world of bartending!
[09:37] Hayes: I can't tell if you're mocking me
[09:38] Sistah Dearest: I'm not
[09:38] Sistah Dearest: Much
[09:38] Sistah Dearest: Maybe a bit
[09:38] Hayes: :(
[09:39] Sistah Dearest: If you're excited, then I'm excited for you
[09:40] Hayes: I am excited!
[09:46] Hayes: Also I'm halfway through my last term
[09:46] Hayes: Which means I'm moving back to NYC in a few months
[09:46] Hayes: Which means I won't be living with Micah anymore, and I'll probably never see him again
[09:46] Hayes: And if I do see him again it'll only be in passing
[09:46] Hayes: I'm terrified of no longer having him in my life even just as a friend
[09:47] Hayes: I might be spending as much time with him as possible while I still can spend time with him to make myself forget about the impending move bc him being close makes me forget that we're not always gonna be living together
[09:47] Hayes: I've gotta enjoy being near him while I still can
[09:48] Sistah Dearest: And thus the truth comes out
[09:48] Sistah Dearest: You don't have to move back to NYC, you can stay in DC
[09:48] Sistah Dearest: And I'm sure you're both mature enough adults to remain friends if a romantic relationship doesn't work out between you, so you might as well try
[09:48] Sistah Dearest: Esp considering you already doubt you're going to keep in contact if you move away from each other
[09:49] Sistah Dearest: Just kiss him, Hayes, and see where it goes from there
[09:49] Hayes: Maybe
[09:49] Hayes: If I get a sudden death sentence
[09:49] Hayes: Or I'm otherwise about to die
[09:50] Hayes: But not before that
[09:51] Sistah Dearest: If I'm ever this obtuse about a guy, please remind me of this moment so I realize how stupid I'm being
[09:51] Hayes: Rude
