Halo fingers were digging into my leg, he was trying his absolute hardest to become invisible because Serenity was standing there staring at him, she didn't even have to say anything she just looked at him and he became intimidated. I looked at Serenity standing there with her hands on her hips and her baby bump barely showing; I don't know what it was about Serenity but Halo wasn't fuckin with her, Roy claimed it was because Serenity was having a boy (even though it was too early to tell) but once it was clear that this is where he'd be tonight Halo sat down and started pouting. I really didn't want to go out but Terico and Emmaunel made it pretty clear that I didn't have a choice, so after letting Serenity and Brittney know everything about Halo like what he was allowed to eat and what he couldn't go near I gave my son a kiss and headed out the door, hopefully we didn't do anything too crazy because I was planning on slipping out tonight and coming back for my son the first chance I got.
"Umm everything he needs is in his bag, if he gives you too much trouble just call me and I'll come back to get him." I said looking down at Halo. "Aight little man I'll see you in a bit alright?" I asked and Halo looked at me for a second and let go of my leg before walking over to the couch. "I'm serious Serenity if he gives you any trouble call me."
"Jaire, I used to babysit you, Elijah, Terico, and Roy... I swear this little boy is nothing compared to the four of y'all whenever y'all would get together. Besides I'm sure tales of his behavior has been greatly exaggerated. He's fine me and Brittney have a plan to keep him so busy that he won't have time to act up... now go out and have some fun." Serenity said trying to push me, Terico, and Roy out the door.
"Wait, wait, wait hold on.... let's clear something up you never babysat us mom would leave and you would boss us around." Terico said and Serenity started laughing.
"Aww, that's cute... now get out." Serenity said pushing out the door, we all went back to my house to get ready and once everyone was dressed Emmanuel and Niño showed and I noticed Niño was trying his hardest not to look in my direction. I don't know what was going on with us but I couldn't let myself get caught up because I was still in a relationship.... but even still I was honest enough to admit that Niño looked good.
"Are we pre-gaming before we go out? I mean I would much rather get a nice little buzz going before going out and not trying spend too much on drinks since I got a son on the way." Roy said and everyone looked at me.
"Well I got a couple bottles put up but I'm not drinking so y'all go ahead." I said but they weren't having it.
"Jaire this night is for you... so you're taking at least one shot and don't worry about a D.D. Im not drinking so now you don't have any excuse." Terico said and I shook my head, but again it was all in vain. We walked into my wine cellar, which was used for some of my favorite liquor and these niggas went crazy; one shot turned into seven before we left the house and I'm not going to lie I was feeling good.....
For the next few hours I finally started allowing myself to have fun, I forgot about all my problems and worries and let whatever happened that night happened naturally which is how I ended up drunk Facetiming Khris.
"Jaire.... nigga it's like one o'clock in the morning what are you.... you're drunk." Khris said smirking and I just started laughing. "Man I swear you and Kolby are so damn annoying; he's constantly looking at his phone wondering if he should call you, you calling my phone every single day.... Look here's a solution to y'alls problem, Halo's leaving in a couple days right? How about you just pop up here and surprise him? That way y'all can talk and air out any issues that y'all are having... hol'up I think he's coming back into the room, I'll call back." Khris said pushing the screen but not ending the Facetime so I was able to see Cash walking into the room with some nigga.
