Purposes of makeup💄

I am not a makeup expert, plus I rarely ever wear makeup but I thought it would be fun to make this chapter. This is in no particular order I kind of just randomly typed makeup and then Googled some of the uses of some of the makeup, since I didn't really know some of them. Hope you enjoy!😊

✦Foundation: Foundation is a skin colored makeup applied all over your face to cover any flaws or redness. It is also used to give a more even skin tone.
✦Concealer: Concealer is used to mask dark under eye circles, large pores, and other small blemishes on your skin.
✦Blush: Blush is used to give you rosey cheeks, which can make you look younger.
✦Eyeshadow primer: This can have two purposes: it can prevent your concealer from creasing and making it last longer. It is also put on your eyelids before eyeshadow to help your eyeshadow from creasing.
✦Eyeshadow: Eyeshadow is used to make your eyes stand out.
✦Eyebrows: Eyebrow gel is used to secure your brows in place, so no stray hairs are going everywhere. Filling in your eyebrows is just to make them a little bit darker and concealer is often used to make them look better and give them a better shape.
✦Bronzer: Bronzer can make your skin look radiant and healthy. It is used to create a sun kissed glow or enhance a tan.
✦Contour: Contour is a product a few shades darker than your skin tone to shade areas you'd like to define or reshape. It is often used on your nose, forehead, chin, and cheekbones.
✦Highlighter: Highlighter is used to make your skin look more natural, and glowing. It is used on your cheekbones, brow bone, above the eyebrow, down the nose, and your Cupid's bow of your lip.
✦Mascara: It is used to enhance your eyelashes. It usually darkens, thickens, lengthens, and defines your lashes. In my opinion it really makes your eyes pop, and if your eyes look sleepy it can make them look more open and awake.
✦False eyelashes: Often used to make your eyelashes look better, longer, thicker, and usually darker.
✦Eyeliner: Eyeliner is used to define the eyes. It is applied around the contours if the eyes to create a variety of effects.
✦Setting powder: Setting powder is used after you are done all of your makeup. Not everyone uses setting powder but it is used to make your makeup last longer.
✦Setting spray: Setting spray is also used to make your makeup last longer. You hold it an arms length away from your face and apply a few squirts. Do not run it in just let it dry naturally.
✦BB cream: BB cream stands for blemish balm cream. It is used to get rid of blemishes.
✦Lipstick: Lipstick is often used to darken your lips. It is a certain color you put on your lips to make them look better. Most people use it because they think it makes them look attractive.
✦Lipgloss: Lipgloss is often used when someone wants their lips to be a certain color but does not want an intense, solid color effect. It makes your lips look glossier and shinier.
✦Lip liner: Applying lip liner before lipstick or lipgloss helps prevent the color from bleeding. Lip liner helps define your lips, and sometimes it used to make them look bigger.
✦Lip balm: Lip balm is not really makeup but it is used to cure chapped lips. To make them smoother and not dry.
