I know this is really random time to publish this but I just thought of it now and I thought I'd share it. Plus summers technically not over yet and there are still bugs flying around.
____
Bug bites:
-Rub Tylenol on the bug bite immediately after noticing it.
-Ice: Put ice on it.
-Put after bite on the bite
-Lemon slice: Put a lemon slice on the bite.
-Aspirin paste: Crush aspirin tablets and add to water. Spread on the bite.
-Apple cider vinegar: Rub a little bit directly on the bite.
-Peppermint toothpaste: Dab peppermint toothpaste on the bite and let it sit for awhile.
-Table salt: Moisten the bite with water, rub table salt on the wet bite.
-Banana peel: Rub itchy bites with the inside of a banana peel.
-Baking soda: Add to water to make a paste and run on the bite.
-Ammonia: Dab a little on and let it sit.
-Lavender and tea tree oil: Mix together and apply to itchy area.
-I know I said this before but, put a squirt of liquid soap on a cotton ball and hold over a wood tick for 15 seconds. The wood tick should be attached to the cotton ball when you take it off.
____
Preventing it:
-Coils (those coil things that you burn that bugs hate)
-Bug spray (sometimes this doesn't work)
-Citrus or lavender candles (burn these outside because some bugs hate the smell.)
-Sprinkle cinnamon; bugs hate it.
-Put a dryer sheet in your pocket
-Slice some onions add it to some water and put outside. Bugs hate this too.
-Vanilla extract mixed with water. Bugs hate this and it smells better then the onion one.
-Plant some fragrant herbs around the doors of your house so they don't get in.
-Relax: If you're stressed out or something your body releases hormones that bugs are attracted to. So stay calm and relax.
-Insects are attracted to dark colors. So wear bright clothes.
____
Getting rid of bugs:
I know most of this one doesn't have to do with bug bites but bugs are annoying.
-Fruit flies: Pour juice on a plate and they will fly in and drown.
-Flies: Squirt windex at a fly, it won't be able to fly anymore and then you can kill it. Lemon stuffed with cloves, cayenne pepper, cucumber also help.
-Moths: Cedar: moths hate natural cedar, mint leaves, lavender.
-Spiders: Citrus peels, white vinegar, turmeric.
-Mosquitoes: Lemon eucalyptus oil, garlic, clove oil.
-Ants: White vinegar, chalk, cucumber slices.
-Wasps: Peppermint oil, an essential oil blend of lemongrass, clove,& geranium, grow plants: basil, lavender, mint, lemongrass, rosemary, fennel, chives, oregano, parsley, and thyme.
-Stink bugs: A little dish soap
I'm sorry if you don't actually want to kill the bug, that's why I listed things they hate so they won't want to come in your house.

Qotp: do you hate bugs?
