Add flowers or if you can't keep flowers alive use fake flowers, to a mason jar. You can paint it or even add a ribbon to the jar if you want.
OR
Put washi tape on the middle of the jar. Paint the top part with any color, and add a layer of mod podge to the bottom half, then roll it around in glitter.
You can also use these jars for makeup brushes.
