"Creature!" bellowed Sigyn, with all her chest.
The creature stopped and looked up to see the silver princess. She juggled her spear over her shoulder reeling back with the other arm stretched out. All five fingers pointed at the arch that her spear would follow to strike him down finally.
With all her power and might, Sigyn launched her spear across the sand. Her legs turning to compensate the throw. Shoulder arching. Her fingers released the shaft. The weapon whizzed through the air. The Creature stood up fully and exposed his chest.
The Creature's hand snapped out and caught the spear by his left side. He snickered at her. It was a complete miss. But he was not the one who was smiling, but the silver princess. The impact of the spear happened seconds thereafter. Lodged through the back of his armour and protruding from his front. The creature gazed at the spear in his hand and then down at the jagged shrapnel penetrating his chest. Confusion it seemed for a second. What had struck him if not the spear he holds?
Jane Foster emerged from hiding and came sliding to a stop as all this happened. She had, out of stupidity and bravery, come to defend Thor from the Creatures attack. She catches the eye of Sigyn who waved her hand to tell Jane to get back. A silly mortal getting in the middle of a fight with gods. She would end up as collateral.
The Creature dropped the spear, stumbled, and turned to face Loki behind him.
Loki grinned at the Creature as if to say 'For the Queen. For my mother.'
The Creature grabbed Loki's arms and pulled him forward. The shrapnel now lodged between them both. The grin is gone and all is a grimace of pain. Sigyn's stomach dropped and all the air from her lungs are gone. She curled out a scream. Legs are not fast enough to reach them.
Thor cried out for his brother. "Loki!"
The Creature ripped Loki away and tossed him back into the sand where he collapsed into it. The grin returns to Loki's face as he spits, "See you in hel, monster." he cursed. The grenade on the creatures belt glowing orange. It was already too late. It exploded ripping apart the Creature and its screams along with it as the hungry black hole returned to devour to the Creature, pulling in every atom of its being until it was gone.
Sigyn knelt beside Loki, her hands trembling as she pressed against his wound, desperate to stop the bleeding. His skin had turned ashen beneath the golden glow of his armor, the deep green of his tunic now darkened with blood. His hands, slick with crimson, clutched at his stomach, but the flow would not stop. It seeped through his fingers, through hers, warm and unrelenting.
"No, no, no!" she choked, her voice cracking under the weight of her anguish. "Not like this. Not again, Loki."
Thor cradled his brother's head in his lap, his massive hands shaking as he tried to bring him some semblance of comfort. His breath hitched as he shook his head in disbelief. "You damn fool," he rasped. "You didn't listen."
Loki's lips curled weakly into something resembling a smirk. "I know," he murmured, his voice barely a whisper. "I am a fool."
Tears welled in Thor's eyes, clouding his vision as the sky above them darkened in response. Storm clouds gathered, rolling in with the weight of his grief, lightning flickering within their depths like a warning—like a lament.
"You mustn't die," Sigyn commanded, her voice thick with desperation. Silver magic poured from her hands into his broken body, her power surging through him, willing his torn flesh to mend. She was a fetterer of magic—she could bind it, shape it, twist fate if only the gods would listen.
