I knock three times and wait for someone to answer the door.

"Why are you all smiley?" Mom giggles as she opens the front door.

"Hello to you to." I laugh as she pulls me into a hug.

"Hi, Honey!" Val shouts from behind Mom.

"Hi, Val." I pull away from Mom and give her a hug. "I can't wait to stay with you guys!"

"It's so exciting! Let's show you your room, shall we?" Val leads me up the stairs and right to a grey room with white furniture and pink everything else.

"Wow." I look around, "This is amazing!"

"Isn't it? Val decorated!"

I smile at them both and give them each another big hug. "Thank you guys so much!"

They both worked so hard to get me back in my Moms life, I'm so grateful.

"Now, back to why you were smiling so much at the door." Mom smirks at me.

"Well, Finn lives down the road!" I clap.

Josh drove me and Finn back to Finn's place and we realized that Mom and Val's is three houses down. Josh is now hanging at Finn's.

Val furrows her eyebrows. "I thought you guys broke up?"

"Oh, yeah we did."

Val nods at me as if telling me to say more.

"We got back together!"

Mom's smile expands 100 times bigger. "That's wonderful honey! I love that kid!"

Val's expression shows she either came up with a really good plan, or she forgot she had something to do.

"I have a great idea!" And we go with option 1. "We should invite Finn over for dinner so we can formally meet him!"

I shrug, "If you guys are sure I'll text him right now. Oh and he's with Josh so I bet Josh would come!"

"Oh, yay!" Mom jumps up and down. "I'm gonna make spaghetti and meatballs!"

I text Finn real quick and tell him that both he and Josh are invited to have dinner with me and my moms.

Mom skips out of my room and down the hall to the kitchen. I hear a faint squeal of joy along with cabinets opening and closing.

"Thank you for giving your mom another chance, Lucy." Val puts a comforting hand on my shoulder. "It really means a lot to her."

"I could never give up a relationship with her. She's the only one I have left." I bite my lip, a wave of emotions crashing over me.

"Well, now you have me too." I give Val a tight squeeze before sitting back onto my bed.

"Thanks, Momma Val." I cheekily smile.

"Ooh! I like that!"

I giggle and check my phone, "Finn said that they both will be coming over for dinner. What time should they come?"

"Hmm, about 5? That way you guys can hang out before we eat." Val backs out of the room and waves herself off. With all the noise Mom was making in the kitchen, I could tell she needed help.

I update Finn and hop into the shower. It's 3:50 now. I'm dressed and ready by 4:45. Record time bitchessssss.

I sit on the couch and make myself comfortable when the doorbell rings and Mom races by to answer it.

"Finn!" Mom pulls him into a very, very tight hug.

"Hi, Ms. Ovalle." Finn hugs her back. They let go of each other and Finn goes to say hi to Val.

"Josh." Mom grins.

"Hi, Mom." Mom hugs him so hard his skin starts to turn blue.

"Mom. Can't. Breathe." He chokes out.

"Sorry, baby. I just haven't seen you in a while."

Oh god, here comes the waterworks.

It's like halfway through August so I'd like to say a happy birthday to all my fellow Leo's. And every other month cause I missed those too.

My birthday is August 22nd. Pls tell me happy birthday that day so I can feel important lol.
