“What did you do to make those boys of mine so damn tired? I’ve never seen them drag their feet like that since they were children.” Annette asked with a good hearted laugh as she sat on the porch swing and watched her boys walk inside while Alice sat on the porch railing.
“I took them Free Running.” Alice said with a laugh.
“Well you certainly put them through their paces.” Annette said with a satisfied smile.
“I didn’t do much, just made them run at walls and jump through things. It’s not my fault their not in shape enough to keep up.” Alice explained.
“I’m in plenty good shape I’ll have you know!” Henry yelled from inside.
Alice just shook her head and walked inside after saying to Annette that she was going to have a shower. She walked inside and kicked off her shoes, picked them up and then made her way up the stairs. She was in need of a shower desperately since she had spent the day teaching the boys how to free run and then testing them by putting them through their paces. It was getting late now and Alice wanted to get ready to go to the club tonight so that she could finally do something and enjoy it thoroughly.
She jumped into the bathroom after grabbing her things and locked the door behind her; she stripped out of her clothes and jumped into the shower after she had gotten the right temperature then proceeded to wash her hair and her body. It was mainly to just freshen up but Alice felt the need to wash her hair so that it was fresh. She stepped out after a little while and wrapped a towel around her hair and her body and then made a dash for her room.
She dried herself and then pulled out her clothes for the night and put them on. It consisted of a bright orange sports bra and crop shirt that she only buttoned up once at the bottom, She wore grey trousers that hugged her thighs and were baggy around the ankles while she wore her black Adidas’s on her feet. She placed a black sweatband on her wrist and placed her phone in her pocket, she pulled the towel from her head and towel dried her hair before brushing it out until it was completely straight and not a single curl appeared.
After she was finished getting ready she picked up the towels she had used and walked back to the bathroom to place her used towels in the wash basket. When she did she brushed her hands on her trousers and then started making her way downstairs.
Rex had left before they reached the bed and breakfast after explaining that he had to get home to get ready to be at the club tonight since he was supposed to be there even if he wasn’t seen. Henry and Levi were still downstairs and moaning about how their muscles hurt and felt like they were going to be sick, Alice didn’t understand it because after all their run had finished nearly an hour ago now.
“I’ll be hoping that I’ll see you boys at the club tonight.” Alice said as she reached the bottom of the stairs.
“That’s if we even make it upstairs.” Levi groaned.
“Oh stop you’re moaning and go get ready.” She said and then made her way to the door.
“I’m sure Rex will keep you occupied.” Henry stated boldly.
“Excuse me?” Alice asked as she put her hands on her hips.
“Nothing.” He said as he grinned at Alice.
“Tell me Henry.” She said in a serious tone.
“Okay listen, for the past few days it’s been damn obvious that there’s something going on between you and Rex, you can’t stay away from each other. You get along a lot damn better than I’ve seen him get on with anyone and he hasn’t lost his temper once, you smile nearly every time you look at him and you love his dog so yeah there is definitely something between the two of you.” He explained as he gave her a pointed look.
