“So how’s waiting on these fairly fine people doing for you?” Reilly asked.

Alice had just placed her tray down on the bar to give one of the bartenders an order when Reilly had caught her attention. He had asked her similar questions so far during the night because he was worried about her but Alice was doing perfectly fine on her own and handled everything without a problem.

“It’s going good it’s nothing different from what I did before so it’s okay.” Alice told him.

“That’s great. What do you need?” He asked.

“I need a Gin and Tonic, Negroni Cocktail and a Lemon Drop Martini.” Alice said as she remembered her order from one of her tables that were on the other side of the club.

Reilly got to work quickly as he placed three different glasses on the bar counter; he poured each of the different drinks with precision and placed a slice of lime in the Gin and Tonic and then a curl of lemon peel on the rim of the Lemon Drop Martini. He placed each of the drinks on her tray and Alice got on her way again as Reilly wiped down the counter.

Alice dodged her way past people that were chatting in groups or walking around to try and find a booth that was free. She held the tray up and made her way towards her table at the other end of the seating area; she had a lot of banter going on with the group of lads that sat at that very table.

“I’ve got your drinks that you so lovingly asked for.” Alice said sweetly as she set the tray down and handed out the drinks that were ordered.

“Why thank you Miss Alice, you’re the bestest waitress I’ve ever had.” Tom said with a flutter of his eyelashes.

Alice shook her head at him and tucked her tray under her arm as she stood for a moment. Tom had been trying to flirt with her all night but Alice wasn’t that easy and she wasn’t attracted to Tom in that sort of way, he had everything going for him though with short hair that was gelled into little spikes on top of his head and his skin was a dark tan like most of the people around that made his grey eyes stand out like they were silver.

Alice didn’t have a type, she just wasn’t interested in him but the banter was fun and she was enjoying her first night working in Insania.

“Well it may only be my first night working here but oh tiarna am I having fun. If you enjoy my waitressing so much Tom then I’ll find you here tomorrow so you can have me serve you again.” Alice stated with a wink.

“Is that your weird way of asking me out?” He teased.

“No, it’s my way of getting you to come back so that you can spend your money on this great club.” She said as she gestured around her.

“Burn!” Jonathan snickered from where he sat in the corner.

Jonathan was just Jonathan from what Alice could tell; he was a bit of a joker by the sounds of it and loved to take the mickey out of Tom at every opportunity he tried to flirt with Alice and she put him down.

Tom leant forward on his elbows and reached out, he grasped Alice’s hand in his and brought it up to his lips were he delivered a kiss to the back of her hand. Alice threw her back and laughed along with the other people at the table.

“You know were meant to be Alice.” He drawled.

“Actually I’m meant to be getting back to work.” Alice said as she took her hand back and started walking away.

“Double burn!” Jonathan snickered, making Alice laugh as she moved onto her next table.

She was enjoying this job more than any of the ones she’d had along her way and she couldn’t believe her luck. She continued to weave and serve her tables throughout the night along with conversing with a whole load of different people and the other bar staff, She and Coco laughed at a man that got a drink thrown at him by a woman and Alice and Emma switched a few tables halfway through when Emma started having trouble with a particular man and she thanked Alice over and over again for it.
