As I watched Tremaine sleep, peace filled me.
I was super grateful that I was a soft place for him to land yesterday.
What bothered me was the fact that this man and I were extremely close and shared so much. Yet, I was surprised by the person he would become presently.
Why didn't I notice this sooner? Why didn't he feel comfortable enough to talk to me before? What exactly had him so stressed? Were there other things he had going on that I didn't know about?
After a while, I decided to leave him to rest and go up front to find my phone.
I saw it on the charger and noticed my Mom called.
Removing the phone from its resting spot, I called her back via FaceTime.
Her bronze tanned face appeared across the screen as she squinted through her Fendi sunglasses.

"Hi Mom."
"Hey my baby. How are you?"
"I'm okay," I replied, "I saw you called."
"Yeah," she replied sitting up, "I had a couple of little people that wanted to say hi."
"Awwww, my babies." I mumbled as I waited for their faces to appear.
"Mommy!!!"
