Tae
The next morning, I woke up to an empty bed.
Sure, I knew the nigga was hot but I ain't think he'd seriously sleep in my house and not end up in here at some point.
I looked over at the digital clock and it was almost noon. After finishing my hygiene routine, I slipped on some gray sweats and a half white tank before heading downstairs. As I descended, I smelled food and heard loud noises coming from the living room. Once there, I saw Trey, Kelly, and Bey sprawled around from the floors to the couches while playing with the kids.
"Good morning." I spoke.
"Morning boobie."
"Morning sissy."
Trey didn't reply; instead, he continued to teases the kids to avoid acknowledging me.
"Mommy, you hungry? Daddy made breakfast!" TJ said grabbing my hand.
"He did?"
Only then did Trey look up.
"Uh huh, come look."
He pulled my hand towards the kitchen. Sure enough, there was a spread over my island of sausages, bacon, eggs, biscuits, grits, French toast, oatmeal, and all kinds of stuff.
"Daddy made all of this?"
"I did."
Trey walked in the kitchen and leaned over the counter across from us.
"Since when do you cook?"
He shrugged nonchalantly.
"Picked up a few things in the last few years." He mumbled.
My eyebrows raised as I fought back a smart comment.
We locked eyes and I could definitely tell he was real salty about our last conversation.
"Uh, can I have some bacon?" TJ asked looking between us.
"Like mother, like child. Boy, you and this damn bacon." Trey replied handing him a piece, "you done had like five pieces already."
He grabbed it happily and ran out of the kitchen.
"So how long you bout to be mad about this?" I asked as I made a plate.
"If by this you referring to ole boy, i'ma be irritated until you tell him what it is."
"I told you last night," I explained, "you can't bully me into doing what you want. You gotta let me figure this out in my own time and in my own way."
"I'm not fucking with nobody," he argued, "and I made that decision cause I need you to know how serious I take us being together. You think it's fair for you get to do whatever with that clown but keep me over here on ice?"
