Eight Months Later...
"Everything good for tonight?" Bey asked as I gathered my things.
"Should be," I kissed her cheek and exited the vehicle, "see you later?"
"Yes ma'am."
I closed the door and walked into Trey's Los Angeles residence.
The Destiny Fulfilled tour FINALLY started back in April after all the bullshit and although there were some bumps along the road, we were actually having the time of our lives.
Was it hectic?
Absolutely.
Were our schedules even crazier than before?
Hell yeah, but it was worth it.
The girls and I had a few off days to enjoy our people and celebrate and I for one planned on making the best of it.
Today was my man's birthday and Jay's birthday is exactly one week from now.
We missed Thanksgiving because of a show in France and missed a bunch of other important things between April and now, but I made it my mission to do something special for Trey's birthday this year.
He always went over and beyond for everyone he loved; buying us whatever, showering us as best he could with his time and affection.
I had definitely unintentionally neglected my family for the last few months. And although they were very understanding, I still wanted to do something nice for him to show my appreciation.
Trey didn't even know I was in the country.
I couldn't wait to see him.
Even though I always found time to talk to him and my babies every day, I hadn't laid eyes on him in two months, not in person anyway.
Carefully, I opened the door and made my way through the house.
When I didn't find any one here upstairs, I assumed he was down in the studio.
I felt my phone vibrate in the front pocket of my jogging pants.
"Hello?" I whispered still lurking around.
"Tae, it's Yvette," she replied quickly, "the guys are at Trey's gate with the vehicle."
"Perfect timing," I said slipping into his bedroom, "call Al at the security booth. He'll let them in."
"Calling them now."
"Thank you, Yvette. You're a lifesaver. See you later."
"You're welcome. See you later on."
I hung up, showered, and threw on a little sundress before gathering my hair into a high ponytail.
I twirled a few loose curls to give them a lil bounce, sprayed Jimmy Choo, I Want Choo, cologne to both sides of my neck, and went to find my boo.
