Chapter 35
Justin's POV:
It broke my heart to see that I caused a mark to appear on my child's face. Jenny went to back into her room when I called her.
"Jenny." I say loud enough to get her attention. She stops and turns her head.
"Clean your room. It's a mess." I commanded in a firm but calm tone. She nods and leaves. I go into the kitchen to see Y/N making dinner. I wrap my arms around her waist.
"What's for dinner?" I whisper in her ear.
"Pasta." She replies as a smile forms on her face. The dinner is ready and I set the table.
"GIRLS! DINNER!" I yell as I hear them come racing down. Y/N stops in her tracks when she sees the bruise on Jay's face.
"What happened?!" She panics. Jenny tries to stop her from touching the bruise as Y/N runs to examine it.
"Mom. It's fine. A guy just punched me too hard in sparring." Jenny lies.
"I didn't see it when I picked you up?" She questioned.
"It was windy and you wanted to get home." Jay reasoned, to back up her lie.
"Okay. I'll talk to your instructor tomorrow." She saids.
"NO!" Jenny screams as we all turn heads toward her.
"I mean...she already handled it." She awkwardly saids, rubbing the back of her neck.
"O-okay. Let's eat." Y/N saids as she sits down and we all start to pray and dig in.
