One good thing about having these kids around is the few hours of free time we get while they're at school...
Jake on the other hand will be staying on campus at his college so myself and Cam are left raising the rugrats thankfully they're well behaved kids so far...
As for how long we are going to be parents we are yet to find out...
Well its time to wake them and send them off to school...
..........................................................................
As Johnny walked out of his room to go wake the kids, there was Cam all chained up and hanging upsidedown like a bat.
"How long has he been like that?" Johnny asked Jordan who was timing him. He showed Johnny the stop watch. "Thats it any longer and your going to pass out I'm getting you down." Johnny said as he proceeded to lower him. "Wait I almost... Umm... Yeah okay things are getting dim... Lower me!" Cam started to panic.
By now the kids were all up, dressed and ready for school.
"Is he going to be okay?" Tilly asked between bites.
"Yes dear, he's just alittle rusty." Dina said as she gave her the bacon she just cooked.
"I'm not rusty, I'm still healing." Cam said with a huff.
"All the more reason not to be working on a trick like that." Johnny said as he walked passed him with a plate of food and slapped him in the back of the head.
"I just thought..."
"Thats the thing Cam I don't think you thought. I'm not nearly in as bad as shape as you were and I would never think of practicing that trick right now.
Okay change of subject. Girls you have everything you need for school? Do you need lunch money or are you packing lunch?" Johnny inquired.
"Its covered under the grant we got but we could use it for the store." Emily smiled and put out her hand.
Johnny smirked back and gave her a playful slap on the hand.
"I think I bought you enough stuff at the mall yesterday." He laghed.
"Yeah but..."
"Here sweetie." Dina gave them each a five dollar bill.
"Dina seriously you know the school store is probably just candy or some stupid thing that will break as soon as you use it." Johnny said.
"Its just, I don't want other kids to single them out because they don't have money for the the store." Dina pouted.
Johnny rolled his eyes. "Okay, please promise me you'll get something practical." He pleaded with the girls.
"We promise." Tilly said with a smirk as they left to grab their backpacks.
"You know they crossed their fingers right." Cam laughed.
"You think. Who's taking the boys?" Johnny asked.
"I was going to. I wanted to check out their technology room." Jordan volunteered.
"Maybe I should take the girls." Dina suggested.
"We both will. Cam you can take Jake to his dorm with Gunter to help get him settled.
Now Jake I better not here about you partying. Keep up your grades and don't forget to visit or check in." Johnny tried to sound all dad like.
"You know this isn't my first go around, I am an honor student you know. As for parties well I can't promise you that but I promise not to get Into trouble." Jake smirked.
As all hurried to the door Kay was there, she was about to knock when Johnny opened it.
"Cam your girlfriends her." Emily teased. As she and Tilly giggled making their way to the elevator. Of course this made Matty and James chime in making kissing sounds as they walked passed joining their sisters.
"Umm, what's that about?" Jordan asked Johnny. As they left Cam and Kay.
"I take it Emily still thinks we are a couple and told her siblings all about it...
Okay thats besides the point. Turns out the parents Will is a bit more complicated and really strange, from what Dekins told me because you found the kids and rescued them they're your responsibility." Kay said handling him the copy of the section that explains what she summed up.
"This is weird. Almost as if they knew their fate before it happened. But this can't be leagaly binding for us I mean sure I have no problem taking care of them but I mean i'm not sure we can do this long term and you know Johnny is going to..."
"What? What am I going to do?" Johnny as he came in he forgot his keys.
"Later the girls shouldn't be late for their first day. I'll talk to Dekins about your inquiry." Kay said as she hurried out.
"Cam!?" Johnny wasn't about to leave without an explanation.
"Kay's right they shouldn't be late. We'll talk about once we have our alone time."Cam tried to walk passed but Jonny grabbed the back of his shirt and sat him on the kitchen stool.
"This never gets old." Cam grumbled.
"Just tell me already." Johnny demanded.
"K but don't freak out. Turns out the parents Will make us their rescuers their sole gaurdians. Kay is going to find out if this is even logical." Cam said in a rush and held his breath waiting for Johnny to explode.
"When I get to the dorm you and me are having a long talk about taking in strays." Johnny said as he turned to leave but turned back and punched Cam in the arm.
"That didn't even hurt." Cam salked as Johnny walked away.
"Hey Cam catch." Jake tossed a football at him which he instinctively tried to catch but that was with the sore arm.
"Guess it hurts more than you thought." Jake laghed as he went to pick up the ball.
Cam takled him and pinned him. "Dude come on it was a joke... Ouch let up!" Jake yelled.
"Say uncle." Cam said.
"Seriously. Cam." Gunter pryed him off Jake who was still laughing.
"He started it."Cam pouted. Gunter rolled his eyes. "I don't care who started it your a grown man, where's your dignity?"
"Johnny took it when he punched him in the arm." Jake stated as he headed for the door.
Cam was ready to pounce on him again. "Don't make me have to separate you two again."Gunter grunted as he grabbed the back of Cam's shirt stopping him from going anywhere.
"Am I moving?" Cam joked as he faked running slowmotion in place.
Gunter rolled his eyes but a smile did grace his face Cam has away of doing that with people.
"You can let go now Gunter."Cam pulled. Gunter waited till he was pulling hard enough that when he let's go he'd fall. Sure enough he did.
"Well there goes my pride too." Cam grumbled as he got up.
They headed off to collage, meanwhile Jake was actually feeling nervous since after all that has happened but that little crazyness that took place made him feel more at ease that his younger siblings are in good hands.
