The day seemed to drag on forever while they combed through the massive castle taking pictures of some interesting yet creepy artifacts the Carté's had collected.
"Wow what is that?" Cam gasped when they entered a musume like area full with all sorts of creatures not ever seen by well anyone.
"Oh thats just a demon horse with wings." Jones said nonchalantly.
Cam snapped a pic with his cell he couldn't wait to show the older kids and adults.
"Their still alive you know." Carson chuckled as he approached Cam.
He glanced at the pic Cam took.
"You got an eye for photography kid...
Yeah some scientist back in the day... I'm talking way back I was still a kid.
He was breeding or well creating these creatures from some demon blood he got from a battle.
Rumor has it the guy injected himself he still roams the earth." Carson chuckled at the fear in Cam's eyes.
"Stop it your gonna give him nightmares." Jones snapped.
"Did you ever see that guy?" Cam asked timidly.
By now Johnny was listening to this.
"And lived to tell the tale!?
Anyone who comes across his path ends up in his freak lair never to be seen or heard of again." Carson smirked as the twins both looked shocked.
"Didn't I say stop?
Its just a story that was told to us as kids by other kids were we were taken after or pop's stupidity in selling our souls.
Don't belive a word of it." Jones grummbled.
"Oh come on I was just having a little fun." Carson whined like a kid.
"Now I see where you get it." Cam smirked as they looked back at the difference hideous creatures.
"Yeah, no...
Never compare me to them.
I wander why Lexi's family had this crap.
You think this alone would curse them." Johnny said as he got chills when he spotted a spider that was bigger than a bear.

Ahhhhhhhhh!" Cam screamed and got behind Johnny.
"What!?" Jones and Carson said as they rushed over.
The two started laughing as Cam pointed with a shaky finger.
"Yeah another one of his things.
I assure you that was the only one." Jones chuckled as he snapped a pic with Cam's cell.
Cam looked at him like he just asssulted him.
"What the kids will get a kick out of it here stand right here.
You'll be a size reference." Jones forced Cam who death gripped Johnny so the two ended up in the pic.
"True fact chicken little here is deathly afraid of spiders hence now sealing my fate to have him sleeping in my bed for eternity thank you." Johnny chuckled and grumbled as Carso laughed hysterically.
"Lets get moving we wasted to much time already.
Your lucky I was here yesterday I got most of it finshed." Jones grumbled.
"So why did the Carté collect that stuff?
Do you know about this family curse thing?" Johnny inquired as they went room to room taking photos and small items.
"Carson go finsh up." Jones led the twins to the fire place where a sofa and chair sat.
"First off it wasn't a curse.
Methuselah is just like us.
Carson and I us, technically you two as well.
Anyhow he was a slave he worked for the royal family since he was a boy he was raised with them.
One day Methuselah had it his parents siblings friends had all been killed through out time by the Carté slave driver personally it wasn't till Selena's time that her family changed the rules and were more civilized but by than it was to late.
Methuselah was already a leader in his sect and he vowed to destroy their family line right down to the children.
Luckily Selena was away at the time.
I was there I was still just a young man as was Methuselah.
Than my thoughts were different.
I didn't want to kill them they were babies I mean literally only two years old.
The children were so trusting and innocent.
Methuselah let his men ravish the ten year old her body was to small and frail she couldn't, wouldn't survive she was the first of the children to parish.
I still hear her cries and see her tears every time I close my eyes.
I tried to stop them but only ended up being beaten and made to watch as they moved onto the next girl.
While they were busy and not paying attention to me and Carson we snuck the rest of the children out.
They have been scattered into the safety of the realm by those I forbid you to contact.
I was desperate and I couldn't alow all of them to be taken that way.
By the time I got back they slautered the last girl she was nearly seventeen.
They forced the king to watch all of this even his wife once they destroyed her the killed him.
I knew they would figure out what we did so Carson and fled hiding among those willing to protect the enemy that just rescued those children.
I met your mother when she was just a baby.
As I held her one night when I heard her cry I saw a vision of you boys.
First it was a happy one where you grew up had a life with your parents and Miles.
Than it got black started over and I saw Alexander take you and harm you boys.
I guess in away I had a chance to make sure your lives could have been perfect.
Problem was I had to change my ways I had to convert who I follow.
I know Carson would have followed any way I chose.
I was the stubborn one I was set in my ways.
I'm not asking for forgiveness but seeing we'll be under the same roof for quite awhile I thought you should know." Jones told them as tears glistened in his eyes.
"That's why you changed your way towards us when you found out about Young.
He was like those men you hated and rescued those kids from." Johnny said in all but a whisper.
Jones nodded his head in reply as he wiped away a stray tear.
"Wait did he ever know about Selena!?" Johnny relized his wife might be in danger.
"No he never knew about her she was always in a bording school out of the country.
Because her birth was in france Methuselah never conected her to their line.
He never will either since I changed her name to Carter and had her raise with Deker.
Here she was Alexia Carté but in America she was orphan Alexa Carter.
Take away or add a letter makes it difficult to contact the two.
Plus I happened to get from the morg a child that looked just like her.
Just incase Methuselah ever connected the two.
Besides your union is her protection now.
Because of your parents bessing she is protected, always have been." Jones smirked.
"If we are so blessed why were we allowed to be abused?" Johnny snapped.
Cam just sat quietly processing all of what Jones said and wandering if that spider was really dead.
Let's face it he was only focused on that giant spider.
"Johnny things happen.

How all this free will stuff goes.
You parents were young and still learning things about protection themselves.
See the enemy can always find away in through the smallest crack in your faith.

Look its getting late we should leave I can discuss this further once we are safe." Jones proceeded to stand.
"Look just trust me when I say for the time being I am calling a truce, no hidden agenda.
Just a parent trying to protect his blood from the thing he most fears." Jones was startled by Johnny's cell.
That unknown number was calling again.
"Johnny put it on speaker." Jones said

Getting that group out of here before any of my hounds could reach them.
Removing the boys trackers while their passed out was smart.

I told the twins he had a chip that will kill him guess they really hated him that much and absently forgot to tell you." Methuselah snickered.
"Methuselah I want you to think for a moment.
How many times have I destroyed your missions?
How many times have you used my children to get to me?
Don't you think by now I have safety messures?
Besides I know where Alexander is and you don't have him.
The man who should have escaped by now is one of my loyal subjects who happened to be willing to change his appearance to look like Alexander.
And the chip you put in him was canceled out by the one he already had from me." Jones smirked as he waited for Meth to have a come back.
But instead the line went dead.
"Yeah typical.
He's not the sharpest tool in the shed.
You had to notice a difference in Alexander?" Jones asked as they walked through the woods.
"He was way to nice." Cam finally piped up after freaking out about a web.
"So where are we going?" Johnny asked as they got deeper into the forest.
