Johnny woke to Cam facing him it startled him at first but he was pleased to see how peaceful Cam was sleeping.
Johnny hopped into his shower and put on a pair of sweats, got his coffee and sat down to read more of his dad's journal.
'Alexander has been acting strange after our high school camp out.
Allison Miller went missing at some point during the night.
They found her body at the bottom of the cliff.
The rumor is...
She was possbly wandering after hours got lost in the dark and slipped.
Later we found out she was pregnant only a week into it.
No one knew who she was dating. The girl was more of a loner as is her parents.
But I know Alexander snuck around with her.
He came back into our tent late the night she went missing.
He looked odd, sickly odd.
By morning he looked normal, acting as if nothing happened last night.
Dad figured it out so you can only imagine his punishment for Alexander.
I think he would better off in jail or juvy if he's than at the hands of our dad who nearly killed him.
Alexander said it was the same with July except he and Allis were arguing and she was backing up to the edge.
He said he tried to grab for her but it was to late.
You know its odd how one can remember things suddenly.
The memory of that day we were twelve and playing with July.
Alexander did something that made July mad she was yelling and shoving at him he pushed her and started walkw away thats when I saw her starting to fall fall grasping at nothing.
Is my brother a killer...'
"What you reading Darling?" Dina spoke causing Johnny to jump out of his skin.
"You scared the crap out of me." Johnny laughed as he caught his breath.
"I told you boys no horror books." Dina half scolded as she snached the journal with Sebastian Black elegantly carved into the leather cover.
"Is this your dad's journal?" Dina's eyes grew wide.
"Yeah and he just realized Alexander is nuts." Johnny said as he took a sip of coffee.
"I'm thinking of taking a look at the cabin today." Johnny said as he stood.
"I'm coming too." Cam stated fully dressed and ready to go.
"Well either way I think you boys need to get the okay from that FBI director first.
The cabin and land are a crime scene." Dina told them as she prepared breakfast.
"Its our property we have rights." Johnny yelled as he stormed out of his room dressed in blue jeans and his jean jacket with a hood.
"Well that's what happens when an area becomes an investigation site." Dina calmly replied back handing him a plate full of bacon.
"Not my problem.
Cam let's go." The two walked out the door with Miles in toe also catering away two pounds of cooked bacon.
Dina shook her head as she watched them leave.
"Good thing Gunter didn't witness all that bacon leaving." Dina mused to herself as she went into Johnny's room where more leather bound journals laid on his night stand all were numbered on the side with dates.
A few even belonged to Alexander.
She remembered seeing Cam carrying a book bag the onese on the table were blank.
Dina found the card Dr.Carter left.
"Carter speaking." Lexi said as she answered her cell.
She was buried in files and assumed it was one of her agents as she answered automatically.
"Hi director Carter this is Dina...
You gave Johnathan Black your card..." Dina spoke on the other end taking Lexi by surprise as she realized who this woman was talking about.
"Oh yes...
How is Joh...?
Mr.Black and his brother doing?" Lexi put the files aside and pulled out the twins files.
Cam's photo was at the crime scene.
It made her cringe to see his injuries and the amount of blood loss that made him so pail.
Johnny's brighter photo in the hospital was nice but still he to was so pail. There was a crime scene pic for Johnny as well that turned her stomach as she glanced at it.
"Well...
Good all things considering.
They were released last night.
But today they found their Dad's journal and well they went to go to the cabin.
I tried suggesting on clearing it with you but Johnny was so upset by the idea of needing permission to go to his own families cabin.
Their younger brother Miles went with them as well." Dina told Lexi who was already on the expressway with Derek driving.
"You did the right thing Dina thank you. I will call you once I make sure everyone and everything is okay.
Thank you for telling me to expect three of them.
How old is Miles can you send me a photo?" Carter asked.
Dina sent the pic as she stayed on the cell with Lexi.
"Seventeen." Dina told her.
"Wait is he there half or full brother he looks just like them?" Lexi was surprised.
Since both the twins parents went missing when they were still toddlers.
"Its a long story but he is their full kid brother." Dina assured her...
"Okay so our victims decided to go back to the scene of the crime with there kid brother." Lexi showed Derek the pic as they waited at the red light.
"Why would they want to do that?" Derek half cringed as he remembered the scene they rescued them from.
"Its like anyone you want to know the truth and if its anything like that first victim they need this even more to know its real." a tear escaped as she thought of her time their as a toddler.
"Hey...
What about you are you okay returning there in the daylight?" Derek was clearly concerned.
He remembered the day this frightened five year old entered his home.
He was ten at the time.
He was surprised of the instant bond they had.
Her mother was killed the day she was kidnapped and her estranged father was in prison for a rape charge.
Which brought her to live with the Morgan's family of FBI agents.
He was fond of her, Lexi was his baby sister and he was overly protective of her.
Derek even beated up her first boyfriend for doing something to her that made her slap him.
The moment Derek saw that scene unfold he was right there inbetween Lexi and the boyfriend, he ended up knocking the boy out.
"Yeah I'll be okay with my bodyguard." Lexi teased and smirked as she took was thinking on that day because once she got over it that's what she constantly teased Derek with.
"You were so mad at me for knocking Danny's tooth out.
Little we knew I actually saved them on dentist bills.
His dad actually laughed when he told Brad." Derek laughed.
Lexi chuckled at her brother.
"You got lucky.
In more ways than one.
Man if Danny's dad wasn't so cool about it imagine what Brad would have done to you." Lexi thought of the many times she watched Derek be beat up by their stepfater all because he stood in the way to get to her.
Lexi was greatful to Derek for trying to protect her.
"You never asked why I slapped him..." Lexi tried to get his and her mind off Brad.
"He told me he was moving away and while on the trip he found a girl, he said nothing happened but he was in love.
He actually was asking my permission.
I was just upset with him that he could move on so quickly." Lexi told him as they finally neared the woodlands.
"Yeah well you knew he was a player I warned you but he was the all star foot ball jock, the most popular, hansome boy who was in love with you in the moment." Derek teased as Lexi playfully slaped his arm.
"Yeah well if memory serves you were him at his age too.
Your ego followed you all the way to college.
I should know being there with you." Lexi teased as she ruffled his hair.
Again greatful she was able to leave for collage the same year as Derek.
"Hey watch the hair." Derek teased.
As he pretended to fix his already messy hair doo.
"So when are you planning to look professional, instead of looking like a teen or collage kid?" Lex smirked at him.
"If its not broke why fix it." Derek smirked.
"Besides you never complain and I take my orders...
Hey don't give me that look...
I'm still your older brother and deserve some respect." Derek teased as Lexi gave him a sly smirk and moving her fingers as scissors.
"You gotta sleep sometime big brother." Lexi laughed which got caught in her throat as they turned onto the path. Seeing the old cabin perfectly intacked but still showed its age in the distance.
"Hey are you certain you can do this?
We can still call for backup and keep an eye on the place from here." Derek inquired once again as Lexi gripped his shoulder in fear.
"No I need to do this.
Like them...
I need to face my fears.
The other night it was just a case, the usual detached, save the victims case.
But today face my fears while still protecting them." Lexi nodded her head to the three that stood on the porch and turned to see the FBI vehicle pulling up.
"You know you three are in violation of tempering with a crime scene." Lexi said all official like as she got out of the vehicle.
"Yeah well where's your warrent!?
This is still my families home our names are on the deed." Johnny snapped back as he kept his back towards her and unlocked the door he nearly jumped out of his skin at the sound of the lock.
The tone in Johnny's voice made her heart sink.
She was no longer the little girl he protected.
She was just this official person getting under his skin.
"Lexi...
You have to keep in mind the horror they just literally endured.
Again as men.
At most likely the same hands of the man who had you and raised them till his so called death.
Only to re amege years later when they assume they are finally safe from him but than to be tormented once again by him.
Don't take his tone to heart." Derek reminded Lexi as he watched her expression turn to sadness before approaching.
For once she considered his advice.
"I know...
You are right.
I forget they were those poor boys I always drempt I was saving from some horror or another.
That they were raised up by him staying victims literally till his death he obviously faked." Lexi said to Derek.
"I know...
We had to keep you from jumping onstage at their preformance when you saw them well Cam for your tenth birthday.
We never could figure out your fascination with him." Derek smirked as he watch Lexi's eyes lock onto Cam's as a look of pitty crossed his face.
"It can't be...
Baby Lexi." Cam gripped her shoulders as he looked into those familiar big sapphire eyes.
He pulled her into a bear hug determined to never let go.
"I'm so sorry I couldn't stop him." Cam said softly in her ear and sobbed.
She was greatful he didn't say it loud enough for Derek to hear.
Granted she told him everything except that.
"Hey you were just a kid there's nothing you could have done, besides he made sure you be down for the count." Lexi pushed him forward out of the hug keeping her grip firmly on his shoulders so she could look him in the eyes as she assured him he was not to blame.
The sound of the door creaking open startled them all including Derek who was reaching for his gun.
Lexi shot him a glance because she caught him out of the corner of her eye.
"Sorry." Derek mouthed.
All Lexi could offer now was a weak smirk as her attention was back on the opening to the cabin from her nightmares...
