Chapter 23

It felt as time just stood still as the kids in the classroom where settled down for a nap.
Dove chose to lay on Cam's lap.
"What are they planning?
You know this is all over the news by now." Sam whispered.
Cam's cell started buzzing.
"Its Octavia.
Bellamy.
Miles.
Lily and Ariel." Cam rattled off as the texts came in seemingly all at once.
Lily: how's Dove what's going on?
Cam: He's sleeping on my lap...Its Alexander something to do with Lexi and Johnny not sure what?
Octavia: there's men with guns they had us go in to the auditorium and are now standing gaurd.
Cam: all day or just now
Octavia: just now
The security lights started flashing in the classroom an announcement over the loud speaker.
"This is not a drill...
Teachers calmly gather your kids.
Men with guns will be coming to escort you to the highschool adutorium.
Please make sure you have your emergency medical bags and necessary medicine you know your students might need."
Cam looked at Sam with eyes wide as they both looked at the kids.
"I'll go wake them...
Its okay you can take one toy to cuddle." Sam pulled out her stuff animal bin.
Dove looked up at Cam with sad eyes.
"Come on go pick one." Cam smiled as he stood him on his feet.
Dove kinda stood back waiting for the other kids when two of his little buddies pulled him in.
Dove came running back to Cam and clung to his leg after finding a wolf stuff animal.
One of the other kids wanted it to so Cam picked Dove up out of reach to avoid a conflict.
When a knock on the startled them Sam handed the other boy another wolf she found and hushed them lining them up.
"Okay listen to me...
These men are not good guys so do not look at them.
Do not talk to them.
Stay with your buddy.
If you drop your toy do not fuss share with your buddy." Sam instrurcted as she readied herself to open the door.
When one of the kids raised his hand.
"Ms.Sims my buddy is being carried by his daddy." Mateo said.
"Munuel and Abby, Mateo is joining your buddy team.
Mateo you stay in front of them.
You two hold onto his shirt instead of eachothers hands, no pulling or pushing." Sam instucted.
Sam and Cam took a deep breath as she opened the door.
"Get in front teacher..." This big guy said as he pulled her out infront.
"You take up the rear Cameron...
Put the boy down." The man hissed.
At first Dove fussed.
"Its okay stay with Mateo I'll be right behind you." Cam said as he knelt down and kissed Dove on the head as he pushed him to his buddy.
The man put his hand on Cam's chest as he pushed him against the wall.
Once the kids where out of sight he ramed his fist in Cam's gut and tossed him back in the room.
"Aparrently you screwed something up with my employers he wants to send you a message." the man said to Cam as he laid on the floor catching his breath trying to get back to hes feet as the man took the back of his riffle and swung it like a bat at Cam's head.
It was a while till Cam came too tied in the supply closet.
"Yeah he's still out...
No sir only did what you asked...
Hold on he's coming too...
He wants to talk to you." The man put an ear piece in Cam's ear.
"Did you tell the pretty young teacher what's going on?
I saw you two talking.
You closed the blinds!
Who said you were allowed to do that!?" Alexander hissed.
"You never said not to." Cam replied back.
"Mik!" Was all Alexander had to say for Mik to start pounding kicking Cam.
"Enough!...
Cameron your not being a good little solider...
Now I know she is one of your mother's Lady Gaurds.
Don't worry I could tell you were clueless so it won't hinder your contract.
Now don't sit with her.
Don't even talk to her.
After today trasfer Dove out of her class." Alexander ordered.
"Look Jones said it doesn't pertain to the kids.
She's the only one who knows how to get him to relax on his bad days.
She already knew without me saying anything." Cam spoke.
As he heard Alexander growl on the other end.
Obviously Jones was frustrated and needed to hurt someone.
Unfortunately that someone was Johnny.
Cam could hear him scream and cry against his gag.
Even Mik looked at Cam with shock and fear as he heard that.
"I will take this matter to Jones but for now keep your distance or I will break your brother to the point you'll never recognize him and I don't mean physically." Alexander growled as he hung up.
"Lets go Black." Mik cut him free and helped Cam to his feet.
Mik sat Cam at the far end of the seats closer to Dove who switched places with Abby so he could be near Cam.
"Dove take this to Ms.Sims." Cam handed Dave a folded playing card.
When she opened it there was writing on the card.
'We can't talk or look at echother he'll hurt Johnny'
Sam stole a glance and saw tears streaming down Cam's face the fresh bruises forming on his cheek and jaw line, the pain he was in as he lifted Dove onto his lap...
"Your brother is a fool!
Here I always thought you were the trouble maker!
I should have punished him when I punished you!" Alexander growled as he punched Johnny in the face.
"You need to blame your wife for this.
She's not playing by the rules.
She made it last longer than it should have causing or men to start planning B." Alexander turned the screen to sho Johnny a replay of Cam's beating than everyone in the auditorium.
Cam was the main person he picked out.
"Your wife is with holding files we want destroyed!" Alexander hissed in his face...
"Look at what you done!" Jones groweled as he forced Lexi to a screen.
Displayed in front of her she saw all the kids she just met.
Cam was sitting behind them with Dove fearfuly sitting on his lap.
Lexi could see the fresh bruises forming on Cam's face.
Than she saw the men with guns force more teachers into the auditorium.
Some teachers were led on stage they were tied, blind folded and gagged.
"Oh look your neice and nephew." Jones pointed out Derek's kids that were sitting next to Octavia.
"Now if you don't start honoring our contract those teachers will be shot one by one till you start corporating. Understand!?" Jones pulled on lexi's hair to make her look at him.
Lexi wasn't thinking when she chose to spit in his face.
Jones back handed her across har face.
Than Jones hit a button on the keyboard and it was Johnny that flashed on the screen in her office.
Johnny looked like he was hit by a bus.
"Things could start getting better or worse, its all up to you Director.
You don't want to be a widow so early in the game do you sweetheart?" Jones cued in her ear.
As if it was a signal Alexander started hitting Johnny with what looked like a belt he was using the buckle end as well.
By the time Johnny passed out and Alexander didn't stop whipping Johnny was when Lexi finally cried out for him to stop.
"I'll get your files just...
Please make him stop.
Promise me no one will be harmed at the school." Lexi sobbed.
"As long as we don't have anymore delays than yes all will go as planed." Jones grinned as he forced Lexi to her feet and ordered Alexander to stop...
