Cam woke up on the very same board walk leading to the very same cabin from his nightmares.
Cam was startled by a familiar voice aside of him.
"I can't believe you brought us here." Johnny said in an annoyed tone.
"I brought!?
Why the heck would I do something so stupid!?
I hate this place just as much as you!" Cam shoved at Johnny.
Who was surprised Cam had the strength to actually move him.
"Well this is you nightmare not mine." Johnny shoved his hands in his jean pockets and shrugged.
Cam noticed something was different about Johnny.
He was wearing that jean jacket with the sweatjacket look.
He hadden't worn that since he was a teen his hair was longer and more frazzled like he use to have it as a teen.
He looked tougher too almost angry.
"Look Cam we can't stand here forever." Johnny looked back and saw the board walk dissolving into a black void.
Johnny grabbed hold of the front of Cam's shirt and pulled him towards the porch.
They made it just in time.
"What know!?" Cam asked as if saying going inside was not an option.
Johnny knew that's what was implied, he smirked slyly.
"The only option is going in." Johnny said as he reached for the door nob.
Cam shoved him away in time.
"Are you crazy you know that place is a death trap.
Don't you remember?" Cam looked in Johnny's eyes.
"Of course I do as long as you do." Johnny smirked.
"Wait what?" Cam was confused.
"I'm not really Johnny.
I'm apart of your subconscious with the mix of the Holy Spirit." Johnny said nonchalantly.
He looked at Cam who was just staring at the door practically burning a hole in it.
"A penny for your thoughts." Johnny gently put his han on Cam's shoulder and smirked when Cam looked at him.
Cam wiped a stray tear and smirked back.
"I was just remembering the last time we were here.
You remember that room we were never to go in, it was off limits?" Cam asked as he looked back at the door.
"Yeah I do...
You two were rough housing Johnny had you in a head lock.
When you broke free you both fell into the door and it opened.
What you saw put in shock.
I had to step in to help you snap out of it." Johnny said with a hint of fear laced in his throat as he remembered that day.
"I remember why we were here.
Alexander was setting up the house as a literal death trap.
He forced us, beat us even to get through it correctly.
We never actually passed his test we only survived cuz he let us.
The people he...
He kidnapped and tested it on to improve it...
When Johnny and I stumbled into that room and saw what he did to those that failed.
He made us watch the rest go through it and be slauterd by that gauntlet of death.
Than he made us do it when he ran out of peopl to use.
I can't go in there." Cam pleaded as he looked at Johnny, tears streaming down his face.
Johnny placed his hands on Cam's shoulders.
"Look I know this is hard for you but you have to face this nightmare.
Or you're going to be his." Johnny pointed to the hideous creature watching them from the trees.
Cam knew instantly it was Death, he started hyperventilating.
"Cam!...
Look at me!...
as of right now he can't do anything to you.
Right now your in control.
We can enter when and only when you are ready.
But this won't end until you get through it so the longer we stand here the longer we are trapped here." Johnny assured as he pulled Cam into a bear hug.
Cam felt safe in his brother's embrace.
"Okay let's do this."
Cam wiped the tears from his eyes as he reached for the door nob.
Johnny placed his hand gently on Cam's shoulder.
"I'll be with you every step of the way." Johnny assured him.
They were enveloped with a bright light as the door opened.
The door slammed shut behind them startling both of them.
As the light dimed they could see all sorts of sharp objects once hidden became visable and alive.
Cam galped.
"Maybe this was a bad idea.
Let's go back outside." Cam said said as he was about to touch the door nob.
Johnny stopped him.
"Doesn't work that way bro...
Sorry...
But remember you are not doing this alone." Johnny assured him.
Cam knew he could make it to the steps but than what?
After the steps he failed every try, even after every beaten he still failed.
For some reason Johnny locked the door turning off the gauntlet of death that was blocking the stairway
"By the way thats the room we discovered." Cam pointed to a door under the stairs.
For no real reason wihich concerned Johnny a bit.
"Let's go upstairs...
I wander if they are still the same." Cam said nonchalantly as he moved a little trap door on the staircase that held a key, it was like a natural instinct to Cam.
Cam didn't even relize he did it.
they came to a door with Cam's full name elegantly carved into it.
Tears started to stream down as he traced his fingers over the letters as he remembered all the times locked in there alone while Alexander did who knows what to Johnny.
"We discovered that hidden compartment on the staircase, we would hide our keys in there so if one of us got away from him we could go free the other." Cam said as if Johnny was a guest and totally unaware of what happened to them.
Again this was concerning to Johnny but he chose to just keep observing Cam's reaction to all of this.
Slowly Cam turned the key till it clicked and than the nob so agonizingly slow Johnny wanted to hurry him along but it wasn't his place to do so.
Finally the door was opened.
They were assulted by stale air, cobwebs and dust.
Cam flicked the lights on, the room looked as it did when he was a boy.
Toys of all sorts.
One would think it was a loving childhood memory well preserved but if those toys could talk.
"Its obvious no ones been in here for a long time." Cam said as ran his fingers across the dust covered desk.
Cam made his way to the elegant wood bed with The Hundred Acre Woods carved on it plus the matching bed set.
Cam galped when he saw the ankle chain still attached to the foot of the bed.
The chain itself was long enough to get around the room with ease.
Cam leaned against the side of the bed and let himself slide to the floor.
He staired at The Hundred Acre Woods painting on the wall like he did for many hours when he was trapped in there imaging he was there safe with Pooh bear & his friends.
He put his hand down and bumped something.
It was a back pack, inside was his Pooh bear and his friends still well preserved shockingly.
A faint smirk graced his face as tears streamed.
"I thought I lost you guys for good." Cam whispered to the stuffed toys.
Johnny made his way to the side of the bed with Cam.
A smirk graced his face as he remembered the many hours Cam pretended to be Christopher Robin.
"You wanna go check out Johnny's room?" Cam said with glee as he stood up.
Cam stood in front of Johnny's door doing the same as He did with his door.
When Cam flicked a switch it revealed the A Rory Bory Alice that filled every inch of the room.
On the ceiling space and all its glory. Infact the whole room was space, equipped with moving stars and you felt as though you, youreself were moving thru space.
Can saw Johnny's ankle chain still atached to the foot of his bed too.
"You know Johnny made all this along with the painting in my room." Cam smiled proudly.
Cam pushed on a wall revealing another hallway.
Again another thing Cam did without a second thought.
"We use to hide in here.
There are rooms all over this place.
We actually got lost for about a week as we explored.
Johnny said we would probably have to live here forever, eating rats & drinking water from the bathroom.
Thankfully we had snacks but still it was scary." Cam said as he opened hidden doors as they walked through the hall, flicking the lights on in each room but not sticking around long enough to actually see inside the rooms.
Johnny was beginning to think something was seriously wrong with Cam.
In fact he could feel there was something wrong.
Johnny was about to inquire but Cam spoke.
"This one has a bathroom if you need it. Its the one we would always hide in when Alexander was in a mood.
We even stocked it with twinkies.
Say I wander if they are still edible.
Heard they don't actually have a shelf life." Cam walked into the the room and headed for the twinkie stash.
Johnny tried to stop him but it was to late, the look of disgust on Johnny's face would have said it all but Cam didn't even notice.
"All these years and they are still good.
Hey look Johnny's journals." Cam said as he shoved a twinkie in his mouth.
"This one he'd write those fantasy stuff in." Cam held up a leather journal with a dragon on it that Johnny etched into it.
"This one was his personal journal." Cam said as he paged through it.
"Hmm...
Looks like he must have been hurt when he wrote this." Cam said as he saw some pages with blood stains and tears.
Cam snapped the book shut.
"Let's get moving."
Cam didn't wait for Johnny to agree.
Cam took off for another room.
"Ta-da...
This was our other fav hide out it has a tower plus a quick escape if needed.
I think there are still areas Johnny and I never discovered.
The slide takes you to the dungeons. Top floor crows nest.
Besides the higher we go the more fun the slide.
See it goes all the way up.
Man I wish Johnny was here and didn't tick off dad again.
He'd have a blast showing you around." Cam said as he walked up.
"Cam where is Johnny exactly?" Johnny questioned.
Cam stoped and turned around he sat on the step to face Johnny.
"The dungeon.
I saw him chained in there the other day it was scary.
I didn't see him for a whole week." Cam turned and started up the steps again.
"Dad didn't know I knew how to pick my cuff lock yet and he didn't know about my secret passage that led me here.
The slide leads to that room Johnny was in." Cam froze for a moment.
"I need to get back to my room before dad realizes I'm gone." Cam said but Johnny blocked his way.
"We need to get to Johnny its important." Johnny searched Cam's face it was clear Cam was not himself.
"Okay...
But I'm blaiming you if we get caught."
Without warning Cam got on the slide laughing like a child as he slid down.
Head first mind you.
Cam did a sumersult at the end.
"Thats the dungeon where the dragons sleep." Cam whispered.
"There's a cells all over.
That's the torture room." Cam whispered as he pointed to a door that one would think was the gates to Hell.
"This is very important Cam we need to get into that room.
I will still be with you as will the real Johnny.
Hopefully your mind will clear once your together again.
You can refer to me as Holy Johnny." Holy Johnny smirked because he knew Cam thought of that when he explained who he was in the beginning.
"You will also see well Johnny's guide, who is you." H.Johnny smirked because Cam giggled like a child which still concerned H.Johnny.
The last time Cam was like this it took forever to recorrect his mind.
They walked up to the Door together.
Cam placed both hands on the door and started to cry.
"I'm with you Cam every step of the way I promise." H.Johnny said as he pulled Cam into a bear hug.
Once Cam relaxed they both put their hands on the door and pushed...
