Chapter 20

The drive from the cabin felt like forever with Jones at the wheel.
Johnny was nervous as he sat up front glancing back at his new bride who kept giving him a reasuring smile.
"I expect you two are going to go on your honeymoon soon and it has to be romantic and relaxing after what you been through." Jones broke the silence.
"Well I don't know." Johnny fidget with the edge of the window seal.
"Well keep an eye on your mail there's a wedding gift that you can all enjoy." Jones smirked.
"I don't get you.
Why are you suddenly nice?" Lexi spoke from the backseat.
Johnny looked back at her with fear in his eyes as if she just sentenced them to death.
Johnny jumped when Jones finally spoke.
"I only harm when I see the importance to prove a point or to get what I want.
As of right now I got what I wanted.
Johnny you know what I mean.
How it was with Alexander." Jones said.
"Yeah well...
I guess we had our good days." Johnny answered nervously trying to remember any moments that were normal.
"So our marriage is one of your wants?" Lexi inquired.
Johnny made an anoyed sigh that said 'Will you stop talking to the enemy already.'
"Your kinda cute when you get anoyed." Lexi giggled.
"I'm not...
Well...
Oh forget it." Johnny grumbled.
"One of my wants yes." Jones said as they all returned to silence.
Jones decided to turn on the radio.
First thing that poped on was For King & Country 'Priceless'.

Johnny liked that movie.
Heck he liked their music it was calming.
Johnny glanced back at Lexi with a faint smile as he listened to the lyrics.
Jones grumbled something under his breath as he changed the station.
And yet again there was that song.
Every station had it which you have to admit is freaky.
"Okay that's weird." Lexi leaned forward and changed it herself.
"We should make this our song.
I think thats what its telling us." Johnny chuckled.
"It is a beautiful song.
Kind of fitting for us to." Lexi smirked as Jones sighed and rolled his eyes.
"K we listened to it once but I swear if it repeats I am smashing that radio." Jones grumbled as he found a station announcing the song to be played from the beginning.
"Could you just turn it off instead." Johnny shrugged as he chuckled at how anoyed Jones was with the song.
Meanwhile in Ariels jeep.
"Omg I love this song." Ariel squeeled as she started singing along.
She has a voice of an Angel.
Cam was overwhelmed at how happy she was and suprized when Miles joined in.
Eventually they were all singing and moving in their seats even Lady seemed to be swaying to the music.
In Derek's car it was the same minus the singing.
"This is my wife and kids favorite band. We saw them live once they were at our church." Derek told the boys...
Finally they reached the Archive.
"That was so weird I never heard a song repeat on the radio like that." Cam chuckled as he and Ariel got out with Miles following.
"I officially will never foget those lyrics." Miles laughed as he ran off to get inside.
But Jones haulted him by grabbing his arm.
"We are all going up together." Jones growled at him as Johnny pulled Miles away protectively holding onto Miles from behind.
"He's just excited to be home he's just a kid." Cam said as he got in between them.
Johnny was surprised at how bold Cam was being.
"Umm...
a little help please..."Ariel called out from the back of her jeep.
Mile ran over to help as did Cam.
They all squeezed into the elevator.
"You know I had a thought...
We out number you.
Especially when we get inside." Johnny smirked as Lexi caught him off gaurd elbowing him in the ribs.
Johnny just glared at her as he coughed.
"Yeah slight hitch in that thought.
In a normal situation its true.
but this situation.
No one no matter the amount is a match for me." Jones grinned.
Cam was going to say something smart but Johnny covered his mouth before he could.
As they walked inside Dina was in the kitchen making dinner, while Jordan and Gunter were in the work room with Mike's boys.
Kay and Mike sat on the couch as Octavia and Bellamy seemed to be rehearsing a school play.
As soon as O saw the door open and Johnny walked through she ran to him lepping into his arms wrapping her arms around his neck kissing his cheek.
"I was so worried.
Kay and Dina said you were okay but I felt something was wrong." Octavia said.
When she saw Jones bringing up the rear she tighted her grip and started breathing heavy.
"Its okay...
O I want you and Bellamy to take Ariel to your room and hang out there I'll...
We'll explain everything to you later." Johnny said as he set her back down.
"Shall we go to the table?" Jones said as he just walked over.
"What in the world!?
Are you all alright?" Kay asked as she got to Cam's side.
"Not exactly...
I'm not even sure." Cam said as he dropped his gaze...
Jones went through the contract like he did back at the cabin.
"There is no way I'm signing that!" Everyone who wasn't at the cabin yelled.
"I don't think I made myself clear.
This isn't an option, you have no choice.
Either you sign or well you'll be just a memory." Jones hissed at them.
"Wait what!?
You never told that to us!" Johnny snapped at him.
"None of you protested so I didn't have to." Jones smirked.
Reluctantly they all signed.
"Wait were's that other bloke that guy with the bad accent?" Jones looked around for Gunter.
Jones forgot about Jordan who was hiding with Mike's boys in the basement.
Heck he even forgot about H.G and John both being out of the realm which was good for them.
"Now see here my accent isn't bad its your ears that don't work to well." Gunter stood in the door way with a crowbar as he was slapping it in his hand getting ready to attack Jones with it.
Jones just looked at him and laughed.
"Is he for real?" Jones directed the question at Cam and Johnny.
"I'll go talk to him." Johnny said as he sulked over to Gunter.
"Did he do that!?
I'll kill him." Gunter snapped as he saw the cuts and bruises on Johnny's face. Johnny glanced back to see Jones was closer to Cam now and he held his dagger hidden to everyone else in his hand.
"Gunter you need to cool it.
What's done is done and turning this into a bar fight will do no one any good..." Johnny said out loud.
Than dropped his voice to a whisper.
"Look at his hand and how close he is to Cam..."
Gunter looked than caught the tip of the dagger.
Gunter's eyes grew twice their size and his mouth went dry as he looked back at Johnny.
"He already cut Cam's side once.
Jones won't hesitate on doing it again." Johnny was physically starting to shake as his nerves got the best of him.
This was only making Gunter more angry.
"Look just sign that stupid contract so we can get him out and we can fill you all in.
And get our new med team to check out our wounds." Johnny pleaded.
"I am only doing this for you boys." Gunter growled as he stomped over.
Johnny took the crowbar that at the moment felt heavier than it should.
"If this contract turns me into some evil creature or somehow sells my soul to the devil I will not hesitate to kill you." Gunter said to Jones as he squeezed between him and Cam.
That's when Cam noticed what Jones was planing if Gunter didn't cool down.
Without warning Cam felt faint it was Kay that got behind him to support him without looking too obvious.
With his signed papers Jones left in an unmarked vehicle....
"Okay who wants to start first!?" Kay yelled after getting Cam settled on the couch.
Johnny sat next to him trying to calm him while Gunter got Jordan and the boys.
Dina brought the twins a glass of cold water.
"Sip on this." Dina checked Cam's forhead.
Cam was burning up.
Dina looked at Johnny as he franticly went to check Cam's wound.
"Its infected!" Johnny yelled as he helped Cam lay down as Cam's eyes rolled back in his head as he passed out.
"I think he's going into..." Johnny was cut short.
"Its septic shock...
I need to drain the wound." John said as rushed over ripping the shirt open.
"Gunter I need you incase he tries to move.
Everyone else please clear the room I need silence.
Also Dina take H.G's bag and clean Johnny's wouds.
Mark the ones that look questionable he doesn't look good either.
Miss and your friend go with them you need to be looked at. You four already know the drill and help Dina." John ordered as he cut the stiches opened.
Both John and Gunter gagged from the smell.
"Here put this on." John handed him a doctor mask.
"Thats not good is it." Gunter said as he put on the mask tears streaming down his face.
"Its not bad...
I seen worse." H.G asdured as he came over with the water he boiled.
"Okay keep an eye on the temperature as soon as it reaches 101° I want you to start basting it in the wound, we need to flush out the infection." John ordered as he cut away the dead flesh.
"This is why it happened...
They cut into him stiched him up pourly, it must have reopened and they just stitched over it again never bothering to stirlize anything, from the wound to what I asume was a clothing sowing kit by the look of the yarn like thread.
It must have hurt like hell with that thread recuting as they closed him up." John said angrily as he watched H.G flush the wound.
"Did the infection enter his blood stream?
Is that why he got septic shock?"
Tears streamed down Gunters face.
"Some but not enough to kill him probably started getting infected yesterday.
As the day went on his body started fighting and well this is the result it couldn't fight any longer.
H.G you need to just bandage the wound there is nothing to stitch.
I had to remove to much fead flesh.
I'm going to check on the others..
John said as he washed his hands in the kitchen...
"Hows Cam!?" Johny said as John came in.
"You marked a lot." John mused at Dina as he walked into the library study.
"As for Cam we got it in time his fever has dropped already.
I hope we can get him in bed so he can rest better." John said as he took a closer look at the marked wounds.
"Umm I think that one was a zit Dina." John laughed.
"Safe to say what you thought were questionable are not as bad.
I'm going to keep the cut on your cheek marked.
I can't quite tell if its just bruising or a start of an infection but its not a deep cut.
If anything it'll be a surface infection but that's nothing to alarming.
If at any point either of you start feel fain or sick come to me.
I'll be staying here with you." John looked at Derek and Lexi.
"Maybe you would like to call your husband and let him know your okay." John said to Lexi when he saw her wedding band.
"I know she's alright." Johnny smirked as Dina, Jordan and Kay looked at him in suprise.
"Long story short it was an arranged marige." Johnny smirked weakly...
