"Mom? What do you think of this outfit?" I asked, spinning around to give her the complete view of my outfit.

My mom had the greatest eye for fashion, which is why I always run my outfits by her before I leave the house. She was my fashion guru.

"That's cute baby, but if your dad see's you in that...you won't make it to graduation. Go change." She said, making me groan with frustration. I looked down at my outfit, pushing my mini skirt down a little bit, before looking back up at her.

"I don't understand why you bought me all these cute clothes, but I can never wear them."

"Fine. Let's see what your dad has to say about it then." She said, about to call out for my dad, but I quickly stopped her.

"Okay, okay! I'll go change." I huffed, turning and walking back into my room. At this point, I was going to be late for my first day, but I'm almost certain that my parents wouldn't let that happen. Skimming through my closet, I pulled out the next best outfit, quickly stripping out of my clothes and changing into my second outfit; staring at myself in the mirror. I then quickly walked out of my room, rushing back into my parent's room. "How is this?"

"Much better. Now go finish getting ready, while I go check on Mila and make sure that she's not wearing anything skimpy." I laughed a little, heading back into my room to finish getting dressed, before I headed downstairs for breakfast.

"Good morning dad." I said, kissing his cheek.

"Good morning, baby girl. Waffles or pancakes?" He asked.

"If you're cooking...waffles. If mom is cooking...pancakes." I love my dad and all, but he was a lousy cook and he knows it.

"How bout a damn pop tart then, smart ass." He chuckled, making me burst out laughing.

"I'll take a pop tart!" Cairo said, walking into the kitchen, followed by Zaiden.

"I want cereal."

"Now cereal is dad's specialty." I joked, laughing as my dad shot me the middle finger. "I'll make you some though, little brother. You want Froot Loops, Lucky Charms, or....Captain Crunch?"

"Ummmm....uh....eh...." I sighed and grabbed all three boxes, sitting them down in front of him. Zaiden tortures me on purpose. I swear he does.

"Pick one, pick all....have at it."

"Okay, okay! Froot Loops." He finally chose, while Cairo grabbed the Captain Crunch.

"I'll take this then." I made Zaiden a bowl of cereal, pouring a little milk into it, before handing it to him; while my dad handed me a plate of waffles.

"Thanks dad." I sat down at the table and started eating, trying my best not to get syrup on my clothes.

"Pancakes or waffles, Mila?" My dad asked, as Mila walked into the kitchen.

"Waffles if you're cooking, pancakes of mom is cooking." She said, making me laugh as my dad glared over at her.

"How is it my two oldest girls stay clowning me, but my boys and my youngest baby girl love any and everything that I cook?"

"Because you only know how to cook the basics, babe." My mom voiced, coming into the kitchen. She sat Alayah down in her high chair and walked over towards where my dad was standing. "So...Cairo and Zaiden, I have your lunch boxes right here, and for my girls...ten dollars each for your lunch."

"Thank you!" We all said at the same time. Breakfast time was always hectic, especially when we were all trying to do everything at once and be out the door on time. After breakfast, I walked my brothers to the bus stop and waited for them to get on the bus, before Mila and I started walking to meet up with Ivy, Gabriel, and TJ.

"Can I ask you something?" Mila asked.

"Sure."

"Do you like Gabriel?"

"Huh? Why would you even ask that?" I questioned, furrowing my eyebrows.

"Because he likes you and I think you both make a cute couple." She said.

"I mean...he's cute and all, but Ivy is in love with him and I would never go behind her back and date him. Besides...I have my eye on someone else."

"Who?"

"None of your business, now drop it." I murmured, as we approached Ivy, Gabriel, and TJ. "Hey guys."

"Hey Bella." Ivy grinned, making me roll my eyes. Every time she gets around Gabe, she acts like a complete weirdo.

"What's up, B?" Gabe smiled, giving me a hug.

"Hey. Look at you, all spiffy for the first day."

"You know how I do. Gotta flaunt these good looks for the ladies." He chuckled.

"If you say so." I said, playfully rolling my eyes.

Arriving at school, Gabriel, Ivy, and I went one way, while TJ and Mila went the other way. The hallways were crowded, but that was nothing new. At least I knew where all my classes were.

"It sucks that you both got first period together." Ivy pouted. "But at least we got second and third together."

"I know right. Wanna meet back here afterwards?" I asked.

"Sure thing. See you guys later." We waved at her as she turned and walked off, while we slowly walked down the hall.

"You know...we're gonna have to tell her sometimes." He spoke.

"We can't!" I said, quickly. "She'll never forgive me and I can't lose my best friend. Not even for you."

"This shit just don't make no sense! You like me, I like you, so why can't we just stop playing and be together?" Okay, so...it's true. I do like Gabriel and I've liked him since before summer break. The thing is, while Ivy was gone to cheer camp for two weeks, Gabe and I grew extremely close. Closer then I like to admit, but I couldn't help the way he made me feel.

"I just told you why, Gabe!" I huffed.

"I can't help that she likes me, but she gotta understand that I see her as a sister. Her pops is my godfather, which makes her my god sister or something in that nature." He said, making me furrow my eyebrows as I looked up at him.

"God sister? You tried it." I laughed, accidentally bumping into someone, as I looked up into the mesmerizing eyes of my crush...Lucas Biltmore. "L-Lucas...I am so sorry." He licked his lips, bending down, and picking up my bag.

"No problem, Bella. Still looking good as ever, I see." He smirked, winking at me. My heart skipped a beat as he eased passed me and headed down the hall. I've had a crush on Lucas since the eighth grade, but every time I tried to shoot my shot...he'd have a new girlfriend on his arm.

"So that's why you won't give me a shot? Because you like fuckboys like Lucas?" Gabe snapped at me.

"Can we not do this right now?" I huffed, walking into the classroom. I understand how he is feeling, but he isn't seeing things from my point of view. Besides...we're better off as friends anyways, because if we didn't work out...then things would be a disaster for all of us. Ivy included.
