Bella Clarke
A Few Months Later...
Prom Night
"A Night To Remember," was the theme for tonight's prom and I was looking forward to seeing all of my hard work, as well as the rest of the prom committee's hard work, paying off. Gabriel and I were nominated as Prom King and Prom Queen, along with Ivy and Tay, Lucas and Amber, and a few other students who had no chance of winning. What made it even weirder was that Tay and Ivy weren't even on speaking terms, let along each other's date, so if they win...it was going to be awkward.
Ivy and I held hands and we headed down the stairs, smiling widely, as our parents gasped and started taking a bunch of pictures of us. I locked eyes with Gabe, as he stared at me with wide eyes, grabbing my hand as I got down to the bottom of the stairs.
"You look beautiful, Bella." He said, kissing my hand. "You too, Ivy."
"Yes, I know." Ivy smiled, sticking her tongue out at him as she walked over to her date. She and our friend Dominic decided to go to prom together, just as friends, so she wouldn't have to face embarrassment and go alone. I told her that she was more than welcome to join me and Gabe, but she didn't want to be a third wheel on one of the most important nights of our life.
"Thanks babe. You look very handsome yourself." I told him, straightening up his tie. I then leaned in to kiss him, but he turned his head and looked at my dad, who was glaring at the both of us. I laughed a little, giving him my puppy dog eyes. "Dad..."
"Fine, go ahead." He huffed. We laughed as we shared a quick kiss, before Gabe presented me with my corsage.
"Who the hell is this kid?" My Uncle Tevin asked, looking Ivy's date up and down. "I thought you were going with Don Juan."
"Hell, he look like his name is Don Juan." Uncle Jude said.
"Seriously guys? Dad, this is Dominic. Dominic, this is my dad, my Uncle Jude, my mom, and my siblings." Ivy sighed, blushing from embarrassment. "Tay did ask me, but I told him no. I'm done with him and Dom offered to be my date for tonight, but just as friends."
