Graduation Day
Ivy, Gabe, and I stood side by side, smiling as our parents stood together taking pictures of us. Our graduation ceremony started in less than an hour and we were all ready to get this over and done with, so we could have our graduation/birthday party that was happening tonight. Though my birthday was tomorrow and Ivy's was a few days after mine, we agreed to have the party tonight and celebrate like we did every year. I just hope Ivy was up to it, seeing as how she's been depressed since the entire incident with Tay.
It angered me, thinking about how I really believed everything that was coming out of his lying ass mouth, only to find out that he was lying the whole time. And on top of that, he had the nerve to say that Uncle Tevin knows what happened to his dad, but according to both my parents...he didn't know anything. Apparently, something horrible happened on Christmas and our entire family spent the day and night in the hospital. They never said what happened, only because they claim that it's none of my business, but I was there too so technically it was my business.
"You three clean up nice." Uncle Jude said, getting into the picture with us. "Ya'll don't clean up as nice as me, but hey...ya'll tried."
"Wow, really?" We all said, laughing. We then separated and took pictures with our parents and siblings, before finally heading to where the ceremony was being held. I know my mom wanted to cry, but she was putting on a brave face today, and for some reason that made me want to cry. Mila, Cairo, and Zaiden were acting as if I were about to leave and not come back after tonight, but little did they know...we had an entire summer together before I started college.
Getting dropped off in the front, I waited for Ivy and Gabe, before we all headed inside.
"I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'll see you both inside." Ivy said, leaving me and Gabe alone. We held hands, joining the rest of the graduating seniors, as we approached our friends. SaMiyah, Jazz, and Ro were talking while Majesty, Dominic, and a few more of Gabe's friends stood nearby talking.
