Gabriel Washington
Long after Ivy left, my parents started giving me the third degree, asking me a million and one stupid ass questions.
"Did you two have sex?" My mom asked.
"No mama, we didn't do anything." I told her. "I let her sleep in my bed, while I slept on the floor."
"You're a teenage boy, that had a girl in your bed, and you didn't try to hit that?" My dad asked, cocking a brow.
"Come on now, dad. That's you Goddaughter, which makes her somewhat of my God sister, so no. I didn't try to hit that. Besides...the person I am tryna hit, is serious about keeping her virginity."
"Gabriel!" My mom shrieked.
"There's no such thing as a God sister, dummy!" Quez laughed, making me glare at him. "I told y'all he needed a little help. He's special."
"Quez...go clean your room." Our dad said.
"Aw come on man! I wanna listen to him get in trouble!"
"Boy, go!" Our mom said. He huffed and stood up, heading upstairs, while my parents just looked at me.
"Look...if I'm in trouble or whatever, can we just skip to the end and y'all punish me?" I questioned, not wanting to continue this conversation any longer.
"Who the hell you think you talking to? Gabe, seventeen or not, I will beat your ass!" My dad said.
"I don't see what the big deal is. Ivy was in trouble and I helped her out! No harm, no foul. Why am I getting in trouble for doing something noble for my friend?"
"Noble or not, you should've called her parents and told them where she was." My mom said. "Don't get me wrong, I commend you for taking care of her and making sure she was okay, but at the same time...wrong is wrong."
"Yeah okay." I huffed. This entire conversation was ass backwards and I was over it already. "Are we done now?"
"Yeah, go on upstairs." I got up and headed back upstairs to my room, grabbing my phone off of the nightstand and sending Bella a text message. Hopefully she wasn't getting her ass chewed by her parents, like I just did by mine.

I had my hands over my head, listening to my parents yell at me about knowing where Ivy was and lying about it. Well technically, my mom was doing most of the screaming, but my dad chimed in with his two sense every now and then.
"Why would you lie to your uncle? He was worried sick about Ivy and both you and Gabe knew exactly where she was!" She shouted. Ugh...it's too early for her to be yelling at me.
"I didn't find out until after the fact that Uncle Tevin left, and when I tried to call him and let him know...his phone was going straight to voicemail." I lied.
"You could've texted him, Bella. Them lil ass fingers of yours are always typing away on the phone, so we don't want to hear any excuses." My dad said. I rolled my eyes and sighed heavily. I just wanted to go back to sleep, but these two were making a big fuss over nothing.
"Okay fine. Yes, I could've texted him, but she was perfectly safe with Gabe. I don't even know why everyone is tripping so heavy, especially since you all know how overprotective he is of the both of us."
"That's not the point, Bella. And did you know that she thought she was pregnant?" My eyes widened as I looked over at my mom.
"WHAT?! Are you serious?"
"Mhm. Jackie found a negative pregnancy test in the trashcan after they got into their little fight, and it's safe to say that Tevin is livid. She'll probably have to move in here with us, because he might kill her." She said, shaking her head.
"I can't believe she didn't tell me. We tell each other everything!" I exclaimed.
"I can't believe she put herself in a situation to even believe that she was pregnant."
"Okay, can we cut this girl talk short?" My dad voiced.
"Dean, shut up!"
"Mom, can we go over there and check on her? I just want to make sure she's okay, since I didn't get to talk to her last night." I said.
"Yeah we can, but if your uncle asks...I grounded you for two weeks." She said.
"So...I'm off the hook?"
"Not necessarily, but I won't hold you accountable for what your cousin did. As long as you don't do anything like that then we're good."
"I wish you would try some shit like that. Tevin might've yelled and screamed, but I'm taking action and whooping some ass!" My dad hissed.
"Come on now, ya'll know me better than that. I would never put my hands on either one of you, only because I fear death more than an ass whooping, and-"
"BELLA!" They both shouted, cutting me off mid-sentence.
"I meant butt whooping." I chuckled. "Sorry." I forced myself in between my parents, crawling under the covers, and snuggling up against them both. I missed when life was less complicated. Kinda like it was when I was a baby. No worries, no responsibilities, no nothing.
