"You are?" he asked, a smile forming on his face. I nodded and looked up into his eyes, trying to figure out what he was thinking. "I am too" he said. "So what happens now?" I asked hesitantly.
"We go out on dates, I buy you food, you eat the food, and we do it all over again" he says. "Now that sounds great" I laughed, smiling widely. "Good" he chuckled, laying back down and pulling me close.
"Hey Katrina?" he asks breaking the silence. "Mhm" I replied. "This is weird, isn't it?" he chuckles. "Not really" I shrugged. "We've known each other since we were like eight." He nodded in agreement and rested his hand on my hip.
I rested my head on his chest and took a deep breath. I knew was safe when I was with him.
"Goodnight kitten" he says quietly, reaching over and turning off the lamp. "Goodnight Ash."
The next morning I woke up to Ash gently running his hands up and down my arms, trying to wake me up as easily as possible. "Morning princess" he giggled, his voice raspy. "Morning Ash" I smiled, remembering last night. "Your alarm went off ten minutes ago" he said looking down at me. "Oh really? I'm sorry I usually don't sleep through alarms I guess I was tired" I shrugged, sitting up rubbing my eyes.
"It's alright. We still have a while" he said, sitting up as well. "I guess we should start getting ready" I stretch. "Get ya ass up" I said to him, gently pushing on his legs. "But I'm cold" he whined. "Don't do that" I warned. "Do what?" he laughed, shaking his head. "If I lay back down I'm never getting up, don't do that to me with the I'm cold shit" I chuckled.
"Okay" he groaned and stood up. "Thank you" I smiled, standing up as well and walking over to my closet. I take out black jeans, a black tank top and a red and black flannel. "You can go to Luke's room, he'll have clothes. I'll see you in a bit" I said as he walked over to the door. "See you soon" he yawns before walking out, gently closing the door behind him.
I quickly changed and put on a pair of black combat boots before finishing up getting ready. Once I was completely done, I rushed downstairs, grabbed my coffee cup that was filled with some type of fruit juice, and walked outside to Luke's car. "Sorry" I yawned throwing my bag into the backseat.
"Rough night?" he asked. "No I was just tired" I laughed, shaking my head. "Hey" Michael yelled from the backseat. "Jesus" I jumped looking back at him. "Good morning to you too" he said jokingly. "Good morning Michael" I laughed.
As we pulled up to school I noticed there were barely any cars in the carpark. "Why is no one here?" I asked, looking around. "Because it's 6:30 and school doesn't start until eight" Luke smiled.
"What? Why are we here?" I asked, looking from Luke to Michael. "Because we're going to breakfast but we had to come here first so you wouldn't be mad" Mike explained. "I wouldn't be mad, I'm just confused" I said as Luke pulled out of the carpark back to the street heading to our usual breakfast spot. "You look good today" Luke complimented. "Thanks" I smiled.
Once we got to breakfast we met Calum, Amy, and Ashton at the front. "Hey Amy" I smiled as we walked up. "Oh wow thanks" Ashton and Calum said in unison. "I just saw you both" pointed out. "You saw Ashton, you didn't see me" Calum added. "Oh my- Okay. Good morning Calum" I said, putting my phone into my back pocket.
"I need food, let's go" Michael said, opening the door and walking in. We all laughed at his eagerness and followed him in to our usual table.
"Hey guys" our waitress smiled walking over. Her name was Gladys and she was the sweetest woman ever. She was like family to all of us. "Morning Gladys" we all said in unison, already stacking up our menus. "The usual I assume?" she asks. We all exchange glances before nodding. "Alright, it should be up soon" she smiled as she walked to the back.
